I peak around the net for normie crypto sentiment from time to time, and I've noticed a pattern amongst normie crypto veterans from '20:

> ALL of them are saying that they "learned their lesson from alts" and sold everything for btc & eth

This is all a massive psyop from whales. They understand that a few old alts (vast majority will die out of course) will absolutely explode past BTC+ETH returns next bullrun and they'll laugh their way to the bank. While all of the coping normie bagholders watch their meagre returns from btc & eth, the whales will be selling their accumulated eth for the new kid on the block shitcoin that's the thing and getting a 200x+ return from it and re enter btc/eth with their new profits. All the while, the "only bitcoin and eth!" normies will watch behind the scenes and seethe uncontrollably and regret not having any balls. They'll also seethe at the new normie investors entering in and making 1000x+ from random shitcoin gambles.

not readin that shit

wrapping eth up with btc is the real psyop when eth has performed identically to most alts, making lower btc highs since 2017, forever.

the game is buy new alts each cycle.
the time is soon approaching when those buys should be made. then in 12-18 months you sell everything and sell it or put it back into bitcoin or usdt/c if you don't trust banks to freeze your money.

nobody has outperformed long term by holding the same alt for more than ~3 years, with only a couple of exceptions.

just copy paste it into chat gpt and ask for a summary.
honestly though it might be just as many words but at least it's intelligible.

and you overestimate the liquidity in this space. whales aren't putting more than a small % into alts that can 100x+, especially in a mature market where btc can't realistically 10x anytime soon.

the vc playbook now dominates and that means more overpriced launches and less for retail to take advantage of. think more worldcoins, aptoses, suis.

I agree with you OP. Btc and Eth returns are not worth it. Buy alts the ones that will survive of course.

Not sure if you're right but ETH unironically never been oversold or undervalued this bear market, It's unlikely it pull a LINK and underperform the bull but one could wonder why whales overdefended it so much, including its often obnoxious narratives

BTC IS undervalued tho
