Ngl. I got laid off from PWC in August and while I probably could get a job soon if I try, but honestly I don't think being a wagie of any kind is worth it anymore. Unless I'm making at least 70% more than I was making before I'm just going to continue being a welfare NEET (especially given that the fucking government never does anything good for me ever anyway so fuck them). I've also made way more progress on setting up my business and acquiring a business than I did while working and am getting married in a month so there's also that.

I was very relieved to get laid-off. But I'm now at a crossroads on what to do now.
For instance:

Had to go to my local branch quite a bit last year and got talking a lot to the tellers and the manager. One of them mentioned that the banks are always hiring and that I should apply if I'm interested. Waited about half a year and my particular branch had an opening and the manager put in a good word for me. Did an interview less than a week later and aced it.

Definitely had some luck on my side to get my foot in the door, but I'm overall not bad at it even though there's lots to learn.

I've been looking for a job since January in my field but no luck so I started looking for any shitty job that'd have me about a month ago. Saw the get a job general that were being posted here, faked my resume, and applied for barback positions. I got hired little over a week ago. Lotta bullshit but honestly working at a bar is a fuckton of fun. Lots of hours since I'm willing to work but this is just gonna be a placeholder until I secure a solid UI/UX gig.
