Why do business ideas that seem good late at night turn out to be worthless after a night of sleep? At night, oh yeah, "I could see people paying for this. It meets an important need, and the customers would come to me." In the morning, "It would require complex agreements, and professional legal/financial services would eat the profit. Customers or the professionals you hired would try to cut you out of the deals. While it's a huge market, it's geographically dispersed and requires lots of face to face negotiation and follow-up. At the end of the day, this isn't feasible as a standalone business. Maybe, maybe, a pre-existing national management consultant could offer this in addition to their other services."

What the fuck? Every time, good exciting idea at night, worthless by morning. Anyone else have this going on for years and years? Why does the universe torment me with this "creativity" that produces half-baked nonsense, re-invents the wheel, and generally gets destroyed by the devil in the details? How on the other hand do other companies stick tablets to stationary bikes and get valuations in the billions?

you're too much of a sperg, like me. it's called analysis paralysis. plenty of mentally retarded businesses are wildly successful, and very few of these businesses are novel in any way. success is a function of timing, luck, and personal and capital networks.

It takes me all day for my brain to function properly by night time. I write down my plans at night and dont make any decisions until late afternoon. Try to only stick to chores and autopilot stuff the first half of the day. As far as your personal example, i would say you overestimate how smart people are. If you can offer a service then just go for it and put it out there. Remember there are professional outreach workers in every field where the entire goal is to handhold the general public through a paperwork process.

It's not about "novel ideas" OP, it's about how hard you're grifting.
Cheat, abuse, break, scam.
That is how you succeed in this world
