Just surviving is unironically fine. It means you have lots of time. They will get in trouble though if they do what many of the clothing retailers did (like JC Penny) and blow all their money trying to aggressively revamp their image and store experience. Because it alienates their existing customer base and leaves no margin for error if it turns out to be a stupid idea (you don't have money anymore). Basically when their cash holdings disappears, it will be GME's time.
To be fair , I personally do think it is overvalued and a value of $5-$8 would be much more appropriate until they can start turning real profits.

I'm glad retirement is round the corner for me so to speak, (14 years left). I can uh "check out" of the daily shat show I'm forced to watch/deal with and merely sit on my ass at home enjoying my things and the outdoors and spend time with the Wife.Went to arby's for lunch today. Hit up the drive through. Cute girl waited on me. Had a big ass gold plated nose ring. An actual nose ring like a pig. Least she didn't have tattoos or was a girly man so there's that anyway.

The ATHs of 1/3/22 and 1/4/22 on the S&P 500 might as well have been the highs of the decade.
>[...]satisfying precisely nobody except people with so much money they don't need any more
As common people don't really profit from higher bond yields due to the lack of capital invested it checks out that this is the end game of the ultra rich.
I mean...
>stock market stagnant for multiple years maybe even decades
>high real estate prices & low inventory
>above average inflation
>bond yields & interest on debt rising slightly above historical averages, yet levels unseen for almost two decades
...is pretty much what it looks like if the rich shut the door behind them.
In this situation there is barely any wealth gain for the commoners except gambling and extremely lucky RNG.

People don't realize how long these higher rates are going to stall the market. As an example Invitation Homes is a reit that rents out single family homes. It's in the S&P 500. They just sold about a billion bonds at a rate of 5.25% until 2030 and 5.45% until 2033. They need that money to continue construction and aquisition, but damn is that 5% going to eat into their margins so hard. Compared to when rates were 0% and corporate bonds were sitting at like 1.5%

I honestly expect that we'll be entering the 2030s with a FED funds rate at or above (positive) 7%.
NIRP, ZIRP, LIRP as well as easy money policies are over. However, it's only natural that people don't realize this yet as these policies have been intact for so long. Some financial careers are already way past their halfway point and have only figuratively witnessed red candles on a monthly chart beginning early 2022. Everything else has been a sea of green for almost 13 years. (I don't count the rona meme shock as viable historical evidence of a natural market downturn)

It's only a matter of time until
>we'll be seeing new ATHs soon
>yields will come down, the fed will pivot
>[other coping mechanisms]
will vanish from the news and normiesphere.
It's just that we're still in a time period where the "52 week highs" coincide with most assets ATH, hence the lingering euphoria.
Only a matter of time until this vanishes as the perspective and vantage point shifts.

You can go up to 20x leverage and don't have to be cucked into market hours besides weekends. And if you were trading SPY on margin or shorting shares it would incur fees, but with futures the only costs are commission and rolling contracts if for some reason you're holding past expiration. And I guess whatever you're paying for your data and platform because not all brokers give it to you for free.

For example, it can be bearish because it means companies have less wallet share and revenue will decrease. But it can also be bullish because it means they'll be cutting costs to increase their multiples.

I’m just going to “long bear” and stack shit that will inevitably turn over at some point and cause bow shock. Clearly 20 years from now the US demographics will be unsustainably bad and the market will reflect that by shifting to a commodities focused dynamic. The less white Europe and America are, the more interesting the economy will be. I’d expect some sort of “idiocracy” trope but that’s honestly looking optimistic. By that time the US will be 40% white. If people think the feds are corrupt now… infact it’s really hard to say that with half of the western demographic holding crap in the market either liquidated or dying of old age, that the dollar will exist or that their will even be a competent market at all. not really a doomer, if you were a bear for the entirety of your life is this optimistic, I just don’t see America bouncing back from sub 50 in 15 years and with an exponential print/debt ratio of 3 every 5 years.

Something’s going to break, and I mean fucking BREAK.

If you have a single penny in mega cap tech stocks in the current year you are a lost cause. Every single normie on the planet has been pumping into these companies for the last decade inflating them to ridiculous valuations. These normies have no concept of price or value all they see is big tech name they recognize so they buy thinking line will just go up forever.

God it will be beautiful when this shit finally pops and all these retarded normies lose every single penny.

Buy INTC while it is at discount. Intel will manufacture your chips and you will be happy.

>> No.56069937

>>56069727
There is no way green will ever outperform the market. Green by definition will have lower discount rates because people who believe they are "doing the good thing" by buying green will have less price sensitivity. It's similar to the Nvidia situation. Nvidia and AI could take over the world and you would still underperform the market because those high expectations of future profit and growth are already priced in.

Even if green does take over the world that doesn't mean investing in it will produce superior returns. It's already priced in and it commands a premium for "moral goodness". Historically if you want to outperform you buy the shit no one else wants and that everyone things has no future. It's the out of favor shit that everyone wants to stay away from that brings the best returns. Tobacco, Oil, Coal etc.

How successful a company is in the real world only matters relative to what is priced in.

If the price says the company is bound to go bankrupt then them just staying afloat will produce returns.
If the price says the company will take over the world then anything less than that will produce loses.

Green may be the future, but if that is priced in it doesn't mean you will profit. You're probably invested in ridiculous growth stocks that need to grow 30%+ for 10 years just to match their current valuation. You will never make money in the long run with that strategy.

So to kill time I turned to my old friend hentai manga. Gist; Dude finds a lost cat. Puts up fliers looking for the owner. Owner turns out to be a hot schoolgirl who's ran away from home. Dude ends up letting her and the cat stay with him. Owner girl pays back the dude with sex and ends up living with the dude. Ends with the girl going back to her parents to tell them she's alright and with a ring on her finger.

That would make the analysis easy. You should learn from like a large/mid single area company first, then a large conglomerate. Try this one.

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD).

Tell me whether i should buy, sell or hold any position i have. Mid size independent in two commodities. Oil and gas, so two things to focus on. You got supply chains, international markets and such to consider, and geopolitics.

I'm definitely worried that as an intro student, picking a huge conglomerate will just lead to wide puddle syndrome.

I also looked into resources companies with few sourcing locations, but they want cogs and shit and a lot of companies like this don't have traditional balance sheet items like that for the formulas i need.
Its an intro course, so they want basic shit like inventory turnover, not me trying to use new formulas or analog formulas that aren't covered.

You should pick one of the various shitty REITS that are holding shacks in shanty towns as assets

Medical Properties Trust (Ticker MPW). Some anon here was shilling a short play on this board last year or earlier this year and he posted a picture of one of their properties listed in their sec filings and it was a piece of shit dump property. Hopefully he timed his short right because it appears he was right on the stock tanking.

High debts + Low cashflow & poor liquidity of assets combined with excessive divvy = Cuts were coming to divvy and they were forced to offload assets to pay debts which will further lower cashflow in future.

Your classes won't do a fucking thing for you if you can't separate emotions from trading. You lost money, get over it. Now dust yourself off, step back, and figure out how you could have traded differently.
(hint: it's trade psychology, risk management, and position sizing)
