Get a safe made of STEEL that has a mechanical combination lock ONLY. Law enforcement can confiscate keys and ANY LOCK CAN BE PICKED. Brute forcing a good combination lock takes days even with specialized equipment. Also bolt it to the floor, that's mandatory. It's important to understand that the purpose of a safe is to buy you time during a robbery and force a robber to make noise and possibly trigger alarms. If a robber can get in and out with your stuff quietly, that's no good. Any safe can be broken into eventually, but if the robber has to wake you up from a dead sleep with their power tools, you can interrupt him with your shotgun or if you have an alarm, your fat cunt police can show up at their leisure and arrest the robber after they shoot your dog.

>Combination lock
>Bolt to floor
Expect to pay about $500 for a decent safe, which is nothing if you're stashing $20k to $40k worth of valuables. Picture related is able to be insured for $20k.

Yep, i'm now extra bullish on silver. The only metal with so many unique characteristics we can't fathom all the potential uses.
Just a hundred year ago it was only used in coinage, flatware, bourgeois' ustensils, mirrors, early argentic photography and few instruments.

Now it's so useful we had to empty all our central banks reserves, change laws and melt down 4000 years worth of coinage all over the world just to sustain our industrial hunger for silver from 1970 to today.

100 years from now silver will be the backbone of mankind's intergalactic empire. This is a fact. And as far as we know, silver doesn't exist in space.

I bought silver dollars because they are lawful tender per the Coinage Act of 1792. Gold is fine but fools paying $2K or more per ounce for it are getting ripped off since it is earmarked at $42 per ounce and has been since the 70s.

Since I resumed stacking in earnest 3.5 years ago I've been motivated by and shared with others this broad 30,000-foot viewpoint almost verbatim. I don't really care about daily spot price action beyond my dabbling in options trading, the long-term trend is crystal clear and the practical value of physical silver as a critical component of humanity's technological progress will only keep growing. Being the world's oldest monetary metal adds yet more zesty dynamism to an already remarkably exciting element.

Regarding "space silver", analysis of meteorites shows that it is more rare than gold and way more rare than Platinum group metals, so if those asteroid mining memes ever become real we'll have nothing to worry about.

Hey fren! I like to think our ancestors millenias ago had this gut feeling (whispered by the ancient gods maybe?) that one day the development of our species would be closely tied to this shiny rock, so they started to mine and stack silver knowing they would help their descendants. Money (the greatest invention of mankind yet) was the excuse to keep it close to us for that one day where it would unlock the next step of man's evolution. Same for gold.

>Regarding "space silver", analysis of meteorites shows that it is more rare than gold and way more rare than Platinum group metals

This is the lowest someone could ask for. It was meant to protect buyers and sellers so there was an arbitrary number set in place. If you think gold is worth 42 dollars or that anyone would sell for less than 2k it is you who is clueless.

Hell, it costs 1300 just to pull the Oz out of the ground before it gets passed around and minted.

To keep it in the theme, i also recently acquired pic rel. It's 24 brand new aluminum buttons for Kriegsmarine uniforms.
What's unusual is they are still embroidered in the silk sheet on which they were originally sent to the german Navy.
I don't know anything about buttons, but this oddity awakened the reptilian "good deal" alarm in my brain.

You can't possibly be serious. Sheets of green paper are legal tender too. Why don't you stack those? Government mandated prices ALWAYS fail.

Meanwhile, China bought almost 30 tons of gold in August and not at $42 an ounce.

Stack both silver and gold, frens. Fuds fuck off.

they probably do

I can believe the concentration of silver on earth is higher than usual, especially if there were a connection between higher levels of silver and the development of intelligent life (because that would be further evidence of the rare earth hypothesis)

regardless we actually do have direct evidence of elements (including silver, gold) existing in space via spectroscopy

I just did a quick search and found this
https://www.nationalgeographic.com/adventure/article/120907-silver-gold-star-explosions-supernovae-science-hansen
>The researchers concluded that silver production occurs in less massive stars than those that produce gold—and through an entirely different type of nuclear fusion, called the weak r-process.
>"Stars with masses eight to nine times that of the sun may explode at the end of their lives as faint low-mass supernovae and create elements up to palladium and silver," she said, "but not heavier."

>while the amount of the metal ejected by a single star may be quite low—as little as a billionth of the original mass of the star—these silver-producing supernovae may be more widespread than their larger, gold-producing cousins.

PM buyers generally are people who love paying huge premiums and/or taxes (on their purchase), because they "feel" like it makes it special and is a "proof" that's it's "worth it", sort of like how some fags buy special brand name products that are not better and sometimes worse than normal products (like maybe some Alienware computer or Nike shoes or whatever) but are more expensive so they "feel" that it's better. It's all about how the purchase makes them feel. It's all about their feelings, which is why so many of them obsess over touching (which they call "fondling") their metals (/pmg/, especially post 2020-/pmg/, has a lot in common with the /toy/ board). Very little logic, all about feelings

Anything is possible, that's what so exciting about periods of chaos, fren.
Likely? No. But as a nooticer, i'll share something "odd" i found currently going on in the silver market.
First, you need to know industrials don't require silver (and gold) to be refined for their uses in electronics. They handle the process themselves.
That is why it's important to make the distinction between 2 kinds of silver imports : silver ore (destined to industrials/electronic applications) and refined silver bars (bullion and jewelry).

For silver ore & concentrates, with no surprise, the 3 largest importers are electronics/chips/semi-conductors manufacturers :
- China (1,100,700,000 kg / year)
- Korea (37,634,600 kg /y)
- Japan (12,894,000 kg /y)
Here you have the big three silver consumers, making chips for the entire world (and solar panels too for China). As addendum, i could not find Taiwan figures anywhere, maybe they are not communicating on them for strategic reasons? We know TSMC is a matter of national defense and sovereignty, and they take anything related to it very seriously.
Where are the US you might ask?
From what i could find, the US do not import silver ore in any significant fashion (word bank figures say 286kg/y.. kek, but it seems too small of a figure). And it's logic, after all the US do not manufacture high precision electronics since a while, and maybe what's left of local production is enough to sustain their need.

Now, let see refined silver 3 largest importers (last data point 2020, total 25B USD) :
- USA (mindboggling 22.2% of worlds' production)
- Canada (13.4%)
- UK (10.5%)
Then most others biggest boys (China, Japan, Germany,...) are in the 4% range.
Notice anything? US, Canada, UK.. 3 closest anglo-protestant allies, slurping almost HALF the refined silver in the world?? For what purpose?

India, i'd understand, silver jewelry is very popular there. Germany i'd understand, for historical reasons the population is stacking hard, and heavy industries not-electronic related might require some. Switzerland i'd understand, they are huge refiners of PMs and store value for their customers from all around the world..

I don't think maples, ASEs and britannias can justify such needs. Especially the ASEs, where we have witnessed first hand how it's being sabotaged from within, producing a fraction of real demand. And if gubment coins were so resource intensive, we would see Austria appear close to the top, the Weiner being one of the most sold gubment coin, and the only one denominated in €. Austria's share of the refined silver pie? 0.98%.

Then of course, we have the banking/speculative side of things, after all, the LBMA is in London, the Comex in JewYork.. but Canada? Why import so much refined silver when they already are a big producing and refining nation?
That said, keep in mind those figures have a delay. It was in 2020, when the Comex went hard on replenishing their vaults, but the LBMA.. not so much iirc.
Could those 3 close allies (and by allies, lets be clear : US and their sattelites) have something else in mind to import all this bullion-grade silver? A new anglo monetary alliance backed by silver in the long run?
Or do they have other plans for all this silber (which to me is partially, if not mostly, unaccounted for so far)?
To know that, we would need to know Qui is buying it. But i think we all know here it's probably not Tiffany to make silver bracelets. Most likely the usual hand rubbing banksters. So what do they know that we don't, which could justify buying up near half the refined silver in the world then make it "disappear"?
Who knows...

That's what i keep repeating :
>short term gains = gold
>long term gains = silver
If you want to profit from the GSR, you first buy gold, wait for the revaluation, then flip it for silver and wait for the long term gains. Not the other way around as it was initially expected on /pmg/ and other places.
Gold mooning will be propped up by legal means, for monetary purposes. But since money require stability to remain a good medium of exchange, the consequence will be a lifetime of crabbing after the huge gains from revaluation.
Meanwhile, silver is the wild card. It will propped up by technological advancement and depleted extraction sources. The purest, most brutal form of offer/demand will be the catalyst for the mooning.

Two antagonistic ways of making it, one by philosophy and the other by sheer physical needs. One carefully crafted by politicians and economic actors in a well defined legal canvas, the other in primal capitalistic chaos.

I figure option one would be a little more diverse, especially since I don’t actually have any bars. But option two would probably be better bang for my buck, and balance my g:s ratio out a little more. What do you guys think?

The coin was minted by the Bavarian Central Mint (Bayer Hauptmünzamt) in 1933 to commemorate the election victory for the NSDAP and the liberation of the German people from the times of bondage after WW1 (economically and in the sense of the German People's right to self-determination and sovereignty); the side with the eagle breaking a chain is symbolic for that bondage being ended and the Treaty of Versailles being torn apart. The breaking of a chain was often used with that meaning.

They were a commercial creation intended for the general public, available for purchase from any bank. They were stuck in 18k gold, and 900 and 835 silver versions as well. The design is by Oscar Gloeckner.

Here's my idea: forget the bar at first. Just get one of each of the primary minted silver coins:
maple
britannia
wiener
kangaroo
krugerrand
eagle (if you can get it cheap)
and optionally a panda, if you like them
Then after that get a 20F gold coin.
The idea here is you'll have some nice coins to look at and fondle. Just having a plain bar is boring.
Pic was someone else's starting stack, I think.

You are exchanging FEDERAL RESERVE NOTES for gold or silver. These notes have no value, and thus whether you exchange 1 or 2,000 for an ounce of them it is all the same. This is why the conservacuck mentality is just another form of brainrot.

Senate Document No. 43, 73rd Congress, 1st Session, stated:
>"Under the new law the money is issued to the banks in return for Government obligations, bills of exchange, drafts, notes, trade acceptances, and banker’s acceptances. The money will be worth 100 cents on the dollar, because it is backed by the credit of the nation. It will represent a mortgage on all the homes and other property of all the people in the Nation." (Which lawfully belongs to these private citizens.)

The National Debt is defined as:
>“mortgages on the wealth and income of the people of a country.” (Encyclopedia Britannica, 1959.)

The inverse is also true, which means that you can take any lawful tender like a morgan dollar minted pre-1933 and tender it as payment in full for any alleged debt denoted in FRNs aka "US DOLLARS"...but the bigger picture is that the people are the creditors and beneficiaries, but are tricked into believing they are the debtors and trustees.
