Unless it turns out Chainlink is a ponzi scheme somehow, it will definitely be the standard oracle network.

This shit honestly drives me fucking mad, as someone who is actually working on a novel web3 dApp.
You have to build under the assumption that, if you actually make something innovative and good, pretty much the entire industry is going to immediately try and suck your blood.
Copy your project, offer token incentives, run hype through all their influencer circles, etc. Coinbase literally just advertised for a position was was essentially "see what other people are building that's worth copying".
The parasitic pile on, and dilution of value, that happens on the back of any small innovation is a massive inhibitor to wanting to actually launch something.
Your options are either: Try to get into the tent of the big guys, a16z or Paradigm, so you can use their shill resources, which means you are contributing directly to the centralization of power and control in the space, or go against them, and end up getting vampire attacked by half a dozen competitors within 6 months of launching.
It's a fucking shitshow, and it's terrible for everyone involved.

I really don't care when these parasites act like this, I get it. What riles me up is DeFi apps not learning from all the hacks and exploits and prioritizing fast updates to secure ones.
I wish Chainlink had stocks instead of this clown show of a market, at least boomers has common sense when it comes to investing.
