Just keep trying random brands until you find one you like, most give free returns by having someone pick up the mattress to donate. Hell you might even get a free mattress from one of them if they're too lazy to have their own company to set up returns/donations with.

I'm interested. I've been looking at some hybrid mattresses with pocket springs but they don't quite convince me... and trying a mattress in the store is a waste of time and who knows who has lay down there before... disgusting

They legally can't re-sell used mattresses so it's just used as a tax write-off. Most companys are partnered with specific donation partners to pick up the mattress though but some just tell you to donate it wherever and to upload a picture of the donation receipt.

I bought a Purple. It was nice, but too expensive, so I returned it. They sent guys over to pick it up. Bought a Tuft and Needle, less nice, some minor off-gassing, so I returned it, too. I was going to try a Casper next, but after T&N processed the return, they sent me an email giving "suggestions" for donation locations, or suggesting I move it to a guest room. Suffice it to say I've gotten almost 5 years out of it.
