This article references banks and bank assets in the second person. Chainlink is not marketing to you. They’re not marketing to VCs. They’re not marketing this to defi protocols . They write these sorts of things for bank executives, analysts, and consultants.

CCIP and PoR are the “enterprise abstraction layer”that all bank will use to interact not just with public blockchains but between their own private blockchains.

Yep, can see it was written by Ryan Lovell, Director of Capital Markets at Chainlink Labs. Notice how every other blog is just under Chainlink (or Kemal if product related). Pretty obvious this was written so it could circulate in the banking and enterprise circles to make it clear they need CCIP if they want to do anything with tokenized assets or blockchain. Hell, they even created a PDF pitching tokenized assets, likely for the same reason. We’re not the target audience here.

It’s funny how actual adoption doesn’t pump the price of a coin nearly as much as the facade of adoption. XRP released a scammy bot voiced video hinting at nonspecific banks and financial institutions using xrp as a settlement layer last month, and those guys went crazy. Or how the QNT ceo interviewed himself outside of SIBOS last year and that project saw a nice pump. Real adoption looks cryptic and non obvious. In hindsight, it’s been basically confirmed to me that the breadcrumbs posts that everyone shit on and derided as mentally ill were always the most clearheaded and reflective of reality.
