Glad I went ahead and sold *most* of my BOIL yesterday, I reckon. It's not holding its rallies (but those rallies are very sellable while they are there) and it has had recent tendencies to dip down into the 58s and even touched into the 56s one morning. It might hit a stronger lick beforehand by surprise, it is a wild motherfucker, (((who))) knows, but I'm thinking there will be another breddy gud dip to buy before the next good rip. If not I will just have what little I still have to sell on the surprise rip, and will patiently await the next buy in yet again, because that's how these microcycles work.

>genuinely looking pretty shaky right now

It's looking shaky, and looking is the key word, because the Western media-propaganda complex decided to make it look that way. Almost no one at the retail level is invested in China yet Western newspapers issue weekly headlines about China's alleged impending 'economic crisis'. Didn't you notice ... it's precisely what they were doing with Russia for the past year? That didn't work so Washington gave them a new assignment and they moved on to China.

China has the strongest growth prospects of any country on earth as millions of rural peasantry move into urban centers and drive production sky-high. Belt & Road fuels demand for Chinese goods and services, almost like the Marshall Plan, and Russia whose PPP-adjusted GDP exceeds Germany is now a private monopoly for China with zero Western competition.

They may have done you a favor, this is not a good place within the range at all to be shorting from with any better odds than a coin flip. I personally *expect* BOIL to go lower, but from where it's at now it can do pretty much anything, including shoot way up. What are you basing that trade on that you were confident enough to put so much into it? I *expect* that it would have worked out, but expectations are about as thin as an Olsen twin here in the middle of the range.

I don't understand how oil can be so expensive? It's one the most available commodities on the fuckin planet. Gas used to cost nothing. Just fire up the drills, wtf? How can Arabs have so insanely high breakeven prices on oil? I literally do not understand oil. And then some people say that high oil prices actually hurt companies like Exxon... doesn't seem to be hurting their stock price, that's for sure.
If oil is that easy to manipulate, why don't they go even higher and forever? The demand will always be there and has always been there so why not simply restrict the supply even further to jack up the prices?

Oil price is super jewish and political. It's the most like that of any commodity. Supply/demand is only a small part of what determines where it happens to be trading in any given period. They withhold supply, limit supply, flood supply, ramp production etc constantly to fiddle the price. Then there are all the pipeline and shipping issues, blockades, embargoes, wars. All over the price and control of oil.

and gain so much so fast (only if ITM already). And sometimes holding overnight isnt the right answer and cutting them early is. But that's why I look at delta when making those decisions. If i bought some 80 delta contracts that are now the 20 delta, i should probably cut out instead of averaging down. But if its still the 60-70 delta, then maybe averaging down is the way to go. other people do it differently. seems like most people like to buy OTM at a strike where they think the market will head. But i just dont like holding onto worthless contracts for that long. Would rather be holding something that has some intrinsic value. It's a long trading day and anything can happen. That being said I'm glad I cut out for $11 profit when I did. Otherwise I would be pretty upset with myself right now. Ya win some ya lose some

Oh man, very helpful info on how to actually pay attention to the delta over time. All of the ones I've tried thus far I've just bought right ATM at what I expect to be either a reversal point or a momentum ride, btw. I think I have done a total of 6 0dte with 3 working out but with greater losses than gains. I held these for seconds to a few minutes. There were some occasions that I would have gained nicely if I held, and others where I would have lost more, but I just had it in my head that if I hit minus 10 to get the fuck out immediately, with the thesis that if I do it enough then a certain percentage will go my way and I can let good ones ride for longer.

Just wanted to provide some context to show that those prices are not abnormal when compared with peer cities such as Mumbai and London and when China's immensely greater development potential is also considered. Of course adjustments have to be made, but the economy is hardly fucked, esp. when you consider so much of the real estate is owned by private investors rather than banks. Over twenty percent of the population owns more than one home and it is the cultural thing to invest in housing rather than stocks. They will just eat the losses.
