Pretty much this, unless you can convince an appropriate legal authority that she needs to have power of attorney over her because of mental issues...which will involve an attorney on your behalf.
This similar situation happened to a second cousin of mine who's dad died youngish and the widow donated most of it to a fucking tv preacher. He tried to get a POA over her, and she came back as sane and literally blew over 500k in 3 years and worse still, ended up selling her home a few years later. Total disaster for my cousin, felt bad for him, didn't deserve it. 14 years ago, his mom had a paid off 250k house and at least 500k in the bank...today she is on social security living with two old fat black roommates, and my cousin doesn't speak to her.
