Yeah I could gamble, but life is already pretty comfy. Working a really nice remote job, so I'm a high paid NEET. I spend most of my day on hobbies or shitposting and sometimes fuck off to airbnbs around the country with extra money I might make on the side. Essentially this 85k in the bank means I could withstand not working a few years if shit goes nuclear. Currently, I'm saving $1-2k a month

Why give up ever being rich when you have a solid base and are still young? Just keep doing what you're doing. 2x, 3x... 10x are common in bull runs when you bought the bottom. It could all change for you in a short span of time.

That seems fair, no one knows the future. But I also know that nobody ever got rich playing safe.
Perhaps consider partitioning off a portion of your capital for "investments" -- whatever that might look like to you. Realistically you'll lose 10% of that 85k over the next year just in inflation/cost of living increases. Think about a hedging strategy to protect as much of it as you can.

yeah I've lost far more than gained with investments desu. Not only money, but opportunity cost and my youth/sanity. At this point I'm just banking on building a business in my profession, or going into something if it's truly novel like early bitcoin or Ethereum.
