By definition phones are not offline

As long as you factory buy it, install JUST the wallet of choice and don’t use the internet at ALL on the device…then I don’t see the issue.

I bought a cheap $80 samsung phone and put metamask on it and the only time I use it is when I open the wallet to check funds arrived and the monthly check. I keep the phone in my safe powered off at all times til its needed for its quick tasks.

Yes and no
You'll have to mod your phone a lot to keep it offline and undetectable
Try Sora Wallet if you want some crypto in your phone, I'm using it and it's safe af

Just get a trezor, it costs like $50 dude. You won't get the same level of safety from a phone because it's not built for safekeeping seed phrases. Trezor is literally built only for that.

Even when your phone is offline, it still has a baseband modem that is constantly receiving signals that can't be disabled. This leaves a small, but theoretically still possible attack surface open.

been doing this for years, im assuming im fine since nobody has stolen my moneys. i do have paranoid thoughts like what if the haxxors have my seed but they are just waiting for me to deposit more before they rug but its doubtful they would wait around.

Quite tough to achieve but you could save yourself the stress and just install Sylo smart wallet. It's actually built around data security and privacy. Well secured from hacks also!!
