EDV is 30 year bonds, you’re looking at about 80-100% gains if the fed quickly drops rates to near 0 again soon.

The risk is that the fed keeps rates or even raises and the long end of the curve snaps back and you lose 50%-60% off your EDV.

There is also the option of buying high yield corporate debt indices or even targeting specific companies issuances, as corporates might do even better if we go back to zero.

I started a separate account with only $95 a month ago as an experiment. I've grown that to $400. How long will it take me to grow it to $20k?

I will almost certainly have a few setbacks along the way. Last time I turned $900 to $3500 slowly and methodically, in two and a half months, then did something stupid and got wrecked.

Any tips on growing a small account quickly yet still using some semblance of risk management along the way?

by swift posting we nazis identify ourselves so everyone can be sure that we are certainly not a glowie. Inflation not behaving like one of your shitcoins and going to zero without being "sticky" or reaccelerating at some time is already priced in. Unless you pull a black swan out of your head there is no reason to sell for anyone who is not driven by irrationality.

I've had a suspicion that projected GDP growth is being held up by a slimming trade deficit due to changes in global trade but am too lazy to look up the facts. Just my suspicion, also government spending.
I also think slowing trade will lead to big dollar shortages and the dollar is going to skyrocket at some point which will cause mass defaulting outside the US on dollar debt. From there probably shake the entire dollar based credit system across the globe including treasuries.

>Price of crude oil going up slowly
>Companies that makes bandages are going up slowly
>China's Evergrande just filed for bankruptcy
>U.S., South Korea, and Japan Summit
>NVDA Rallying 300% in 9 months, despite sanctions on China, preventing them to buy any of the advanced AI chips earlier this year.
>Semiconductor companies have a 27.4% exposure to China's economic decline, NVDA having 45%.
>Top institutional shareholders for NVDA have suffered losses from Evergrande's collapse.
>Same top institutional shareholders for NVDA have losses in the past Quarter YTD that they need to make up for the rest of the year.
>MAJORITY of the news, articles, and publications are still BULLISH on NVDA, even increasing the rating for the company and its price target.
>Same top institutional shareholders for NVDA OWNS these journalists who published these information.
My conclusion is:
>NVDA Institutional bagholders who bought at the top and are at a loss are desperately trying to do everything they can to shill NVDA as a buy so they can dump their bags on some dumb fuck willing to buy the top. With China and EU in recession, who will keep on buying this stock?
>China has all their reason to wage war because of the sanctions stunning their economic growth. Price of bandages and oil to mobilize a huge fleet of military vehicles are slowly creeping up again, same thing happened when Russia invaded Ukraine.
>Whether or not NVDA pumps or dumps after the earnings, the institutional bagholders are still suffering significant losses later this year, and they wont be making up for their margins to cover their debt and opex, which they will either have to refinance at the same, or higher interest rates if NVDA earnings makes the stock pump any higher. I believe this is the top boys, and we're in for a long ride to the bottom. Keep in mind that Bear market rally lasted for 10 months last year. Did I miss anything?

Oh and also, I just went and visited my parents who lives in the Midwest. Apparently small regional banks are preventing their clients to withdraw large sums of cash, and advising them to call in 5 days before the withdrawal because that's how long it takes for them to order it from Treasury. Last quarter's inflation data is out and the quantitative tightening is in progress, pointing towards a deflation in the coming months. This is not bullish. In order for stocks to keep going up, inflation is needed for the pump.
If you want the market to really crash and the stock market to bottom out, make everyone you know panic and withdraw all their cash from their banks.

Things can stay overpriced for a long time, bearish sentiment was insane in 2022, lots of money on the sidelines that was anticipating a plunge. >> No.55889669

>>55889618
I'm not a big fan of JEPI. It's tax inefficient since the dividends are considered ordinary (non-qualified for long term cap gain tax rate).
In general it'll only outperform during crab markets, and only specific crab markets that stay flat month-to-month at that. Temporary volatility can crush the ETF. JEPI is a little more complex than other income ETFs in that the positions are actively managed, but I see no reason to believe that the portfolio managers will be above average in their stock picking.
It has no actual downside protection. Selling covered calls does not really protect against large declines.

In conclusion, I'd only hold JEPI if you're a retiree, you're too lazy to put much thought into anything, and you need large payouts but don't like the high fees of other more structured alternative products.

>> No.55890065

>>55890046
On IG there are Options, but I think the spread is not that great. Can't really say. No margin needed when you BUY (KAUF) and . Different story when you sell (VERKAUF) and receive premium.

On pic you can see the spread (10) which is currently higher because closed market.

203 is the price for 1 contract on DAX short, so you pay 203 Euro and when it moves 1 point you make 1 Euro. Considering the spread is 10 and I don't know if it moves 1:1 with the underlying, that is pretty expensive/the market has to move a lot to get out of the negative zone (spread). As you can see on the left, there is also US and other EU, China, and cut off from the bottom volatily index. I'm no fan of these options. Just wanted to answer your question. I think IBKR is highly likely to be a better options broker. I think EU brokers for options are pretty expensive/high spread. Otherwise I can't get how so many US guys can make so much money with options. Their spreads in the US have to be VERY VERY low compared to EU, at least compared to IG. Haven't used IBKR.

I use Barrier Options (BO on the left). No time limit, just a fixed stop loss (knockout). Practically like CFD but with flexible leverage, up to 150x if not more, depending how close you set the barrier.

BO are good on IG. Lower spread than on other brokers. DAX is 1,2 points (EU session, after EU 2,6 during US, night 6,8, china 4,0), SPX 0,4 I think.

Pretty simple, actually simpler than CFD, since you don't have to calculate margin etc. But if you are wrong, you are wrong, barrier hit, money gone.

I don't fuck with options and if you are referring to the insane heights after the Russian pipeline explosion then no, I do not expect it to return to that. Regardless, just the standard behavior is a semi-regular supply of kick ass trading opportunities. I always know that when I hit a loss all I have to do is await the next entry patiently and use what I learned to play it better.

Idk, but I remember back in April 2020, when the whole world was blasting two weeks to stop the spread messaging, the world bank had documents talking about hundreds of billions of dollars in funding for all the vaccine tacking infrastructure and estimated the end of project COVID 19 as march 31st 2025.

Sorry mate, I went to bed, cause I woke up early and had fucked up headache, so I didn't want to further sit here.

>you to check on IG if you have barrier put on tesla
I don't know what you mean by that. You can short Tesla. NVDA too, But barrier shorting/buying on stocks has higher commission costs. So high, that it doesn't make much sense to open a 50$ dollar position except you think the price will drop so much, that it will outweight the cost. I think US stock commision cost is 10$ on open and close, so you gotta at least make 20$. Commission on individual stocks is nasty. Indices are miniscule, 1 Dax is 0,10 Euro, so it's enough if it moves 1 pip. For Stocks that only works if u use like 5k+

I got your question now, osrry just woke up. There are more companies, german companies commission is 5 euro, so half what you pay for others. That's pretty standard it seems as trading german stocks on CMC (CFD) also is 5 Euro and US is 10$, other countries, france, UK, italy is different and individual.

>>55890557
It's similar, probably warrants is the same insrument. Because they have a whole section that's called turbos and there it is that you don't have overnightfees but your barrier adjusts each night and comes closer.

With barriers it's like CFD, you either pay or get paid (depending on futures contracts etc) (Indices you get paid currently due to high Central bank rates, also shorting stocks regularly pays you atm). But the barrier stays the same, it's not adjusting down- or upwards with time, it's fixed.

They also added other instruments like factorcertificates and some other kind of options but I didn't look into that that much, cause I don't want to change my strategy, since that has caused me RETARDED losses in june. And I'm not gonna risk that on a more complex instrument than barriers.

If anyone wants to start IG, let's suggest me to you lol, I'm talking so much here about it and not profiting of it, lmao. I'd get free money for that, lmao. I'm not even doing it with this intent. There are often Euros here with no marketmaker/broker.

For me CMC and IG seem to be the best designed and best functioning CFD-market for the EU, especially in germany. They also pay the taxes for you, when you live in germany. Can't say that for Etoro (which I started with) or others.

Use a clean beard trimmer to trim the hair on your neck as low as it can go. Keep clean and dry. Don’t forget about your sheets, pillowcases, and shirts as well. No point in treating your neck if you’re just going to sleep on a dirty pillowcase and put on the same nasty tee shirt you wore yesterday and the day before. We’ve all seen how you live and this was bound to happen eventually. Chirp!

Depends. FLOT takes on some small credit risk, and loses the tax advantages.
For me personally at my own marginal tax brackets for federal + state, I'd be better off holding BIL.
