I've been a neet for the last 5 years living off what's left of my crypto stack and I'm about to run out. The whole time my parents think I've been gainfully employed as a software engineer. Lmao I just told them and they were super chill. Basically thinking exactly that - I have an education and have had two good jobs in a row. I hope they are right.

I feel weird, sad, kind-of, but not all that upset. Just kind of shocked. Almost excited for the future.

I haven't had a real job in almost two years and my family still believes i have a "marketing" job just because i still make enough money from my shitcoin gambling. The worst part is that they think i have it pretty good because sometimes i get like 10k from some giveaway (last one was duck race derby) and i can afford some good shit but im honestly scared because if the market goes to shit i will have no real experience or education to find a proper job. I relate to feeling scared op

It’s somewhat of a blessing. You now have all the time in the world and more experience to pursue an even better job or start your own hustle for 8 hours a day.

My opinion has become I’m soaking up the money and experience like a sponge while it’s here, and when it ends that’s when the hard work pays off and I’m free to move onto to greener and better pastures without my copper handcuffs.
