Should I ask them to grab me like $50 or dimes or a couple of rounds (buffalo/ASE etc). I’d rather have the dimes because memes but they don’t know shit so I don’t want to load them up with complex instructions. Just find a coin shop and ask for junk to the value of X. Hey lads, I haven't bought numismatics in a while but a magnificent opportunity I couldn't ignore just presented itself. I visited the super based LCS my dad gets all his at-spot foreign and worn US dollars from and was talking about ancient coins with the autistic proprietor who has a splendid collection. He didn't have much ancient material in the case but almost as an afterthought he pulled out a collection someone had just sold to him. He didn't want to sell anything individually or spend the time auctioning them individually online and was only asking $500 for everything!

For that half-grand I got 79 ancients with impeccable attributions and provenance recorded on notecards, most coins are Parthian with a good mix of pieces from other regions and empires in or near modern Iran. It seems like the last coins were added to the collection in 2009, and I know that ancient Parthian coins have become more popular and valuable since then. I figure I'll keep the most interesting ~20 coins for myself, and thanks to the exceptional attributions and records I can easily sell the other 60 for something in the $1500-2500 range, maybe more. It's one helluva score, feels good bros

They will. Some jeet politicians were talking to chink diplomats last week about the prospects of opening gold and silver mines along the border of Pakistan and again near the Tibet border. The average poster in this thread probably don't even know or at least aren't fully aware of the belt and road initiative which has made countries slaves to China which has accumulated more gold than the US but hides the actual numbers. Brics has the opportunity to dethrone the USD and also install a new currency that blatantly outcompetes and outperforms both euro and usd. Pelosi's husband has begun the selling of tech stocks as well. It is a merry time for them as they liquidate and exchange for gold. And don't even get me started on liquidity crisis going on in Europe and US. Bank of America is already dead. Wells Fargo is on life support with no brain activity literally and figuratively.

With the introduction of partnership silver and gold mines I would be highly surprised if the currency they decide on isn't gold backed, or at the least silver. The math does not lie. They have been poised to do this for three years. But now they have the Saudis that already canceled military and UsD spending in ace for chink dollars and slavic shekels. The UsD is over, finished and kapoot.

It will not immediately. They are still manipulating the prices to get out of stocks bit by bit. In a few years the pm landscape won't even be recognizable. It will be like looking at swamp water and then looking at spring water coming out of a trailhead by comparison. They will do a loght revaluation to psyche normies into purchasing some but this is a feint to merely let their friends do last minute trades. The second revaluation will price people out of silver and make gold untouchable. The third and potentially final revaluation will be used to completely sever any ties the top 10% of bankers/politicians and their friends from the rest of the public. By this time in 2025-2027 the US will not even be considered a true first world nation. The writing is already on the wall but people are too comfortable to see it any other way. It's a fool's game to speculate that the US is doing anything BUT eating itself alive in order to leave normies with the bags. Look at the pathetic excuse of leadership that they are using. The undesirables. All in order to snake away once they made enough money. A lot of filthy kike rats aren't even in on the game and they will be completely blindsided by what the top 10% know and also what people reading my posts know. I already maxed six lines of credit for a total of 17 ounces of gold and 1200 more ounces of silver. I pulled out my 401k and bought even more. My homes being made in the Philippines will sustain me and my friends while looking like only modest homeowners.

That is the key. Look poor, act small. Do NOT let on that you have a single gram of silver. Unless you want to target yourself. Some women you like you may give a gram to them now. But move away after. When they remember you are wealthy (even 100g is wealthy) they will seek you out. Be ready.

>Anything greek?

A few coins (like the Hadrian tetradrachm) have Greek inscriptions but aren't Greek. It's unfortunate as Greeks are my favorite but I do appreciate getting some new material, researching and expanding my understanding will be fun. Since my dad has a great relationship with the coin shop and they've gotten to know and trust me too I'm pretty sure I'll have first pick of any future batches of ancients that get sold to them. The based old autist owner had brought in his collection to show me and we chatted for a couple hours, he has several immaculate and historically important coins worth 5-figures, it was awesome to look through his box and hold treasures of that caliber. I brought in some of my best and most interesting coins and artifacts to show too and he seemed to genuinely enjoy learning about them, definitely a better-than-average visit to a LCS.
>>55866545
thanks fren, it shows that not all coin shops are run by greedy boomers, hopefully sooner or later all anons can find a special LCS that'll treat 'em right.

Best option is in your pocket until you can deposit your stuff at home.
Also you might know a coin shop where you can explain and leave stuff in their safe. Seal it in a paper envelope so you can be sure nobody fondles your stuff, write your name on it too, just in case.
You can also deposit stuff at a bank, but they usually take money for the service.

Lads, remember, whatever comes of this evergrande bankruptcy. if it has enough power to bring down the markets that means the spot price of the metals will also collapse, this is the era of diamond hands and strong minds.

Those looking to take advantage of cheaper prices could find there nothing to buy, if you haven't already stacked up with what you intended to stack up the chances are if you are not already in, you wont get in.

Its musical chairs lads and the music is about to stop.

Yeah that's a good price for noah's ark coins. They usually have the best price on those.
It's probably better to put the order (commande) or receipt (facture) number in the reference field of your wire transfer. You should probably email them a screenshot of the transaction details in your online banking, and put the command and facture information in that email.

I personally have a large safe but still stopped buying because I'm getting insecure about how much weight the ceiling supports.
That said, silver still has an ace up it's sleeve.

I'd like to draw your attention to an interesting phenomenon in the precious metals market, particularly regarding silver. As its price increases, silver may experience a rise in demand due to the growing value density - the amount of value stored per unit of volume or weight. Essentially, silver could start behaving like a luxury good, not because of any "snob" effect, but because its inherent characteristics as an investment metal become more appealing with a higher price tag.

This idea is rooted in the observation that physical demand for silver among affluent households is currently constrained by volume and weight considerations. In contrast, gold demand is mostly limited by absolute value. As silver appreciates, it becomes a more attractive alternative to gold.

>>55870534
To better understand this, think of the value density of monetary metals as a spectrum. At one end, we have copper, which essentially has no value density and remains largely unattractive for physical storage. At the other end, platinum, palladium, and gold are already at such high levels that any price fluctuations have a negligible impact on their value density, making them less sensitive to these changes.

Silver, however, currently occupies a unique position within this spectrum. It stands to benefit significantly from the increase in value density that comes with higher prices. Especially once prices reach above $50-100 per ounce, silver becomes a compelling choice for investors. In the realm of physical allocation, many investors who previously set limits based on weight (e.g., XXkg or XXXkg) may now find themselves reaching their nominal limits and reconsidering their allocations. As a result, some smaller private investors might even find that they no longer need to hold gold, as silver's higher value density and manageable weight allow for efficient storage and transportation.

In conclusion, silver can still become the boss.

The elephant coins aren't obscure by any stretch. They've been around since the 90's, which is longer than noah's arks. Back then they were issued by Zambia, instead of Somalia (the change happened in 2004), but it's the same series. I'd like to get some of the older ones, one day. They look pretty cool!
As far as liquidity, it's not like you have to buy a whole monster box of elephants. Just a tube is enough. Get them while they're cheap! You'll have many opportunities to buy the boring wieners that are always the same fucking thing every single year. Those have no collectible value whatsoever, unlike the elephants.

yo so today I was getting a friend who is into investing into silver. he is a bit more normie, but slowly becoming redpilled on the markets over time. He was going to buy and then noticed the premium and started asking me a lot of questions about how much he would get paid when he sells. I filled him in on how you normally lose the premium and he got almost annoyed and was like "so i lose 10-20 percent immediately?".
I have explained to him the practicality of physical silver and benefits.
What do you say to someone like this? hes not close minded or dumb, i think he just maybe isnt as long term bullish as me.

It did bring up some of my own fears of liquidity if I sell. He brought up good points. how to insure a delivery if you sell over the internet, etc.

do you guys have any thoughts? obviously we all buy silver knowing that we are going to lose the premium, but do it anyways. sorry for the blogpost

as an investment gold and silver are better than property. people conflate investment with speculation though, which in reality is simply gambling

an investment mostly means an asset that you can produce more with. technically a tool or learned skill. to sell for profit is an investment but at that point your investment is really the capital you put into the asset class to get more capital, not so much the asset itself

Coin shops buy coins for way over spot. You get part of tne premium back. The spread is like ~10% here. So the premise is wrong. That said, 10% is nothing in the grand scheme of things, silver dropped over 10% in the last two weeks alone. Shipping with insurance is a thing but just sending it registered for small amounts is fine. If spreads are a deal breaker there's always gold which is basically free.

The silver market is much more volatile than gold, so you can use that to your advantage. I only buy in quantity during dips like now, the one back in March, and last fall. That pretty much takes care of the premiums.
I didn't have very much money to spend in March, and pic is all I got. But it was cheap! The 3 tubes of noah's arks were 22.64 euros/oz and the kangaroos (the tube on the right) were 23.20 but I got those a week before the bottom.
Last fall I was buying noah's arks for 23.33, britannias for 23.39, and wieners for 23.51 (I bought a monster box of each). I bought a bit before the market had completely dropped (spot price was $1 higher) so I could have done even better but these prices are still very good.
And a week ago I bought a monster box of wieners at 23.53, so just a little higher than last fall.
Also, look for deals. Like those 2023 elephants that are going for less than wieners. That's a great buy!

To add, the premium and the VAT for euros is a bluff, to make you believe you'll lose paper currency (which has no value lmao) if you stack physical silver (which it's the one really valuable).
But it's just that a bluff.
If you stack it and never sell it back you call their bluff and you'll see how angry and desperate they become.

Contrary to your assertion, I can't recall a single post in this general praising China. There have been many posts stating raw facts regarding China's gold reserves and manufacturing output, but nobody has said China is a great country or is coming to the rescue of anyone.

What people ARE saying is that China and the rest of the BRICS will try to do what is in their interest. A reasonable assumption. And the BRICS see, correctly I think, that they can have some of the benefits America has had by owning the printing press for the world's currency. For a variety of reasons, that will likely require at the outset a currency backed by gold, as was the USD. Assuming that, it is likely that world gold markets will be reset at a much higher exchange rate with the USD and other fiat currencies.

I have some hopes in this regard simply because I think I stand to benefit from it. Not because I like the government of China or any of the other BRICS. They are cut from the same corrupt cloth as the American government. But because I have converted some of my fiat money into gold and silver. Simple as that.

I think people who let their government and news media tell them who their enemies are are dupes. NPC's hate on command and end up getting fucked for their loyalty to entities that do not have their interest at heart. I will look out for my own interests, thank you. And those interests are different than what the Biden administration tells me they are.

This is what a rational argument looks like, son.

Yep
> The Niue Athenian Owl 1 oz Silver Bullion Coin is inspired by the ‘Tetradrachm’, an Ancient Greek coin with a face value of four drachmae. Struck in honour of Athena, the Greek Tetradrachm coin featured an image of the goddess in its obverse and an owl, the official polis of Athens complete with olive branch and crescent moon, on its reverse. The owl is a symbol of truth and wisdom and, per ancient mythology, sat on Athena’s ‘blind side’ to enable her to see the whole truth.
> The coin was in wide circulation between 510 to 38 BC and is the best-known of all ancient coins. Early Owls were struck from Silver from various locations, including Laurium near Athens.
