I have brought down my equity position to 38% of my portfolio. Party over soon for spy.

Bought a lot of VMBS (agency mortgage bonds). In an IRA loaded up on 2053 maturity TIPS with a generational high of 1.95% real.

Mortgage bonds are best deal right now in markets. Market is under appreciating the foolishness of folks selling out their homes on a 3.5% mortgage and buying a new home at 7%. These prepayments are going to result in a tailwind to rates without the corresponding drop in price.

Maybe my whole strategy is based around my retarted friend, he buys gay stocks way too high almost always, they almost always lose 50% and then he holds for about 6 months and sells at his buy in price. So my whole strategy is to wait for whatever stocks he into to dump 50% and then buy them, then sell when they hit his buy in. I do about zero DD.

Relaxing Saturday. Rain on the way but I don't care cause I don't gotta go anywhere. Reading another hentai doujin; Gist, Dude get's cheated on and dumped by his girl for lack of sexual "vitality". So he decides to hang himself. (WTF). Just as he's about to do the deed a hot demon succubus blonde enters the room. She wants to see if he's going to hell or heaven based on his "vitality". Well uh guess his ex didn't do enough to keep his "vitality" strong cause the blonde succubus babe has no problem keeping it "healthy" for several creampies. In the end the dude doesn't hang himself and it's implied he and the succubus girl get together.

Pic rel, but unironically. Lynch ran the best performing mutual fund of all time, the Magellan Fund. Averaged 29.2% from 1977 - 1990, while he was in charge.

Additional reading list of institutional guys:
>Beating the Street, Peter Lynch
>Margin of Safety, Seth Klarman (physical copies are >$10k, but you can find a pdf on LibGen)
>How to Be a Stock Market Genius, Joel Greenblatt (I know, title sounds like some "rich dad poor dad" BS but the book is actually excellent)
>Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits, Phil Fisher
>The Intelligent Investor, Benjamin Graham
>Security Analysis, Benjamin Graham
>All of Warren Buffett's annual letters to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders, can find these on their website

The secret to investing is that there is no secret to investing. Truly. You're just trying to figure out the best place to park your money and watch it grow. That is the essence of investing - intelligent allocation to the situations offering the best value. Buy stocks like you buy groceries, when you buy a jar of peanut butter at full price and next time you go to the store you notice it's half off you don't panic and try to sell your jar at home - you buy 3 jars of the stuff at a discount. Doesn't mean you should always double down when your positions are down, but do realize that if you're still right about a thesis then a sell off is an opportunity to get more cheaper - your margin of safety has widened.

>> No.55817140

That's how I feel about stooks. You can get randomly rug pulled by the stooks by entirely arbitrary amounts. Commodities at least have some degree of reason for going to the specific amounts that they tend to. The ranges can be pretty wild, but still somewhat "set", so as long as you have a grasp on the ranges then you'll have some idea of where the present price is within them. Couple that with projections and data on the macro circumstances and you have yourself something that is much more safely tradeable, relatively speaking. Of course, you must also have some essential trading sense, like knowing how much to sink in at the given levels, and how much dry powder to keep on hand for working the position as it moves around in the ranges. Anyway, stooks are some dangerous motherfuckers, man.

>trading has changed
This is very, very true in at least an array of ways. Most obviously is the fact that we can now have essentially fully capable trading devices in our pockets wherever we go at all times. This led to one of the other major ways that I think will take a good while to more clearly demonstrate the deeper consequences of, which is the 2020 redditor trader entering the picture. Suddenly there was the mass of people putting their money (which was somewhat more ample at the time due to govt freebies) into purely speculative positions on equities for gambling purposes in an identical manner to how they do with crypto shit, with essentially zero regard for fundamentals. The "new fundamentals" became much more oriented towards the sheer number of others doing the same thing on the same equities in the pump/dump manner. But, this also led to people having nooticed previously insane valuations on particular ones and thinking that surely those equities will again return to at least some portion of those valuations. It's build a new layer of retardation on top of the fundamentals. But, at the end of the day, the more people who buy in over you once you've bought in, the more one gains (assuming selling before getting rugged) regardless of P/E and all that, so a valuation being retarded doesn't necessarily mean unprofitability in trading it. All of this (aside from the devices/access), of course, is *essentially* nothing new, just the sheer numbers of traders/invoosters, and much less barrier to entry (which also increases retardation).

Let's say they've got a good steady business. The money man tells them to defer some of that revenue, and front load expenses. Meanwhile his people sell short. The stock tanks. Then they invent some bullshit news stories, like paying the press to emphasize lawsuits against them or whatever it is. They might fire the CFO, then the CEO, stop advertising, whatever it takes. Meanwhile they manipulate the share price down and keep it there for months or years as they accumulate.

Yes. Price moves in waves.

Sure, but those squiggles obey the laws of psychology and probability/statistics. idk how much you know, but I'm sure many people would be surprised at how simple it ultimately. How much you can do with literally just 2 moving averages combined with risk management. What I do isn't complex or mystical, I just keep the wind at my back, know what I mean?

Try tick charts. Like, 500 ticks or lower. RSI is fine but it mostly shows "extremes" in price. I much prefer relying on trend direction and momentum. Beyond that it's just pullbacks and risk management. The crazy thing is how simple it is at the end of the day. I went through at least 2 years early on with trying all sorts of different combinations of all sorts of different indicators, both common and esoteric.

Now all I use are 2 moving averages and a momentum oscillator. That's literally all you need. The rest is risk management. Realize that if your reward is twice your risk, you can literally get half of your trades wrong and still be making bank. I feel like that's the biggest problem with plebs, they don't realize that fact. It's risk ratio vs. winrate. If trend is up and momentum is up you probably want to be finding pullbacks to go long on, you know what I mean? It sounds so common sense that I don't know why everyone doesn't do it, yet here we are.

Even hypothetically that would be impossible. Reddit has basically become a WEF reeducation camp. I went there once about a month ago because it's the only place I could find where people were actively talking about online casinos. I went to make a post to ask a question about a certain casino and my post got auto deleted and I was hit with about 20 different guidelines to follow to even be allowed to post. One of them being you had to have a certain amount of good goy updoots points to even be able to post. The lack of self awareness that redditors have is truly second to none compared to any other forum. They are a heavily fortified echo chamber, and specialists in the "no you" mentality. Why do you think a single book of an outdated human brain that would be legally culpable for profit loss at his previous firms for spilling secrets would ever have anything valuable, even assuming you could understand and implement them given the supercomputer capabilities and legions of phds that these firms employ? Legitimately you and every other fucker unironically asking how to 'git gud at trading' needs to step back and understand that you are up against algorithms smarter than chatGPT, that can execute orders on the timescale of nanoseconds, that have data feeds more voluminous and accurate that you could possibly imagine, while also probably having some degree of insider information and limited market manipulation capability if they heavily specialize. That is what you are up against. The ONLY thing that makes sense if you don't have any specialized knowledge or literal 200IQ programming capability is to shut the fuck up and ride in their cumulative shadow, e.g. indexes. That's it. You will never be able to compete. No TA, no backtested algo with your shitty unquantitative 50 line python script is ever going to make it.

Someone please tell my stupid ass why not to invest in PYPL right now. The speculators have driven the price down but stablecoin is only a potential new sector they want to branch into. Their fundamentals havent changed a bit, the company revenue increases 15% or more every year like clockwork. As long as more people are shopping online, or more services use their service, then the money keeps going up. If it stagnates they still operate as a bank in the sense that they profit off any business taking place regardless. To me it seems like it's a no brainer unless there's a competitor about to catch up to them, and there simply isn't.

next few years will be comfy for TTWO enjoyers, no actual release footage for GTA 6 yet other than the leaks so use this to get hyped:

>> No.55822765

I looked into it and my conclusion is that PYPL is oversold, the market latched on to some narrative about competition and loans which don't justify the current price at all. I'll unironically buy some, that will balance out my portfolio which is currently 419% stock shorts lmao.

>> No.55823054

Market research is a massive industry. There’s plenty of ways they get this sort of information. They pay firms to get it. The most obvious way is surveys (paid or unpaid), but there’s other ways they could do it. Probably what they do is they track sales for franchise locations in lower income areas. Maybe they even look where people are doordashing chipotle to and see if that’s it’s low income neighborhoods.
