It'll just pick up from here at an increasing pace, we'll be at +$2 in no time or even in the ATH region.
Can't wait for the FS to drop. It'll lay a nice foundation and we'll soon see what the valuation potential here is and I bet even that'll be conservative at something like 4 million tons a year instead of 6-8, leaving a lot of room for big speculation.
I bet it'll be around 1.5-2 bil valuation and then you throw in the TPR deal and it's looking pretty damn good.
Add in this CEO to the picture and the whole thing is about as derisked as it gets. We'll be looking at an easy ~15x
With really good luck we'll see the general markets take a gargantuan shit along with PMs and we'll be able to rotate that money in there.

It's also great that the CEO has contract based on milestones, if he doesn't hit them he doesn't get money which is one hell of an incentive to be active and push aggressively.
And if there's a shitton of them like he says, it means we'll get a steady stream of news which is a nice change of pace from this damn silence we've experienced so far with this project.
I think that the best thing about this new guy is the connections he has due to his long involvement everywhere in the mining sector.
Like Rowland says:
>He's a fourth-generation underground miner who has been involved in one way or another with just about every underground mine in Canada
Getting the money to finance this should be easy and he might not even have to go to the banks.
Time to put our feet up and enjoy the WAGMI ride.

I was also thinkign about arabic as oil&gas can be pretty closely related to some mineral companies. Are there any big asian countries with huge potential in mining/minerals? I wonder if we'll be getting the Salt FS next week of if this CEO thing was what they were really referring to as the news we were going to get.
Since the CEO wants to wait until September that he gathers and unveils his team, we might have to wait a bit to see the FS.
Could be coming out in October for all that we know and the reported date could have simply meant the company gets the FS mid August.
Not that I give a damn, I trust this new guy knows what he's doing.

One of the traders I follow on YT suggested that lignite (brown coal) would be the way to go and mentioned places like Pakistan as top consumers (being that they were outbid on natgas and oil). Bituminous coal has a high carbon content and is good for metallurgy, which means it's used for economic/base metals, which is not good in the current macro.
Specifically he said to do DD on dedicated miners that produce mostly lignite coal, as opposed to a metals miner that has a coal branch

most of it is from the Carboniferous period, approx 299 million years ago. Plants / trees appeared, but fungus and other decomposing lifeforms hadnt figured out how to break the fibers down. The wood piled up in beds hundreds of feet thick, which then compressed in to coal. It kept happening at different scales too later on in the geologic record, but a good chunk of what we burn today comes from the Carboniferous period.

Fun fact, thats also when we had giant bugs for a while.

After watching it, my takeaways from this are:

>Most important key word is to build the mine and do it as fast as possible, which is going to put fire under the asses of anyone looking at this
>Generational divvie play extremely predictable and reliable investment
>Private equity brought up instead of other salt players as investors, so pension funds and other big guys looking at this.
>Wanting to price the salt higher than competition due to quality and safety of supply.
>FS probably counted only at the same conservative 2.5 million tons as PEA, so super conservative and surprising paper due to how shit it will be production wise.
>Immediate scoping study to augment the crap paper to 4 million tons as baseline production
>2.5 mil is only 1/6th of imported salt. All of this can be displaced by Salt which means the growth potential is insane.
>And again, build the mine quickly or no one will give a single fuck about buying this.

I have a feeling that this might actually spook away a lot of short term investors, because this isn't going to be sold quickly as we expected.
We'll probably have a lot of people bailing out at their entry prices as we climb up.
This was a great interview and basically screams buy and forget for the next two or three years, as we slowly meander our way up before price explosion around production and a potential buyout.
Now I just hope we don't get any bullshit like massive dilution to fund this. TPR better get it's ass moving and produce some mine building funds.

the origins of oil / gas are actually really interesting too, as we actually dont really know 100% how they form. The idea that hydrocarbons are the remains of ancient sea and plant life dates back to the early 1900s, and has a lot of backing when you look at the material it forms around, but deeper hydrocarbons, especially past 7km in depth could be formed from other sources.

Also how come other planets have hydrocarbons on them and have never had any form of life on them. Tons of other planets show signs of organic chemistry and compounds but there is no life there. Now they say co2 is bad and its only helped the price of gas/oil. Make something illegal or bad and you drive up the price for it. Such happy coincidences. Biden making gas generators and ovens illegal. Ya because they care so much about the environment. Politicians care about how will this increase value of the assets they own. So I asked ChatGPT about my lignite issue
>RWE AG: RWE is a German multinational company that has historically been a major player in lignite mining. It operates lignite mines in Germany and has been involved in lignite-based power generation.
>PGE Group: PGE is a Polish energy company that operates lignite mines and lignite-based power plants in Poland. It is one of the largest producers of electricity in Poland and has lignite mining operations in regions like Bełchatów.
>Turkish Coal Enterprises (TKI): TKI is a state-owned company in Turkey that is responsible for lignite production and related activities. Turkey has significant lignite reserves, and TKI is involved in lignite mining for domestic energy needs.
>Public Power Corporation (PPC): PPC is a Greek state-owned electricity company that operates lignite mines and lignite-based power plants in Greece. It has been a major player in lignite mining and power generation.
>China National Coal Group Corporation (China Coal): While China is known to have substantial lignite reserves, the specifics of lignite mining companies can vary. China Coal is a large state-owned enterprise that is involved in coal mining, including lignite.
>NLC India Limited: NLC India is a government-owned lignite mining and power generation company in India. It operates lignite mines in Tamil Nadu and uses lignite for power generation.
>DTEK Group: DTEK is a Ukrainian energy company that operates lignite mines and lignite-based power plants. It has been involved in lignite production and electricity generation in Ukraine.
>Mineral Resources Limited: This Australian company has lignite assets in Victoria, Australia. While Australia is more known for its higher-grade coal exports, some companies might be involved in lignite mining for domestic purposes.
Except that only 3 of them are on US exchanges and they're all illiquid as fuck. Oh well.

>found on other planets
Methane as a gas can leak into the (lower) atmosphere where it's easier to detect (e.g. Mars, near the surface). Petroleum as a liquid stays mostly underground, and where it reaches the surface it doesn't distribute like a gas. Looks like petroleum is mostly detected (or guessed) indirectly, e.g. presence of specific rock types or geological formations.
Most planetary science missions analyze the atmosphere and scan the surface, some dig into the subsurface to get samples, some use ground-penetrating radar to image what's below. The probability to detect a gas (that can distribute potentially globally or accumulate in some areas above the surface) is higher than to detect a liquid (that stays local and mostly underground).

That's from my layman's understanding.

After hearing that interview I actually wouldn't count on this going up with FS news.
I bet the numbers are going to suck balls just like in the PEA, because the company they use has no idea how to deal with a mine of this nature.
Might have been a different situation if they got this CEO on board earlier, so he could have argued the paper, but now they'll have to independently augment the crap FS with a scoping study.
I kinda expect the price to get fucked short term as this becomes a play that requires the mine to be built at least partly until we can even think about a buyout offer.
Not that it matters to me too much, in fact I sort of hope the rest of the year the price would eat shit so I could grow my bag a bit.

Good thing about TPR is that the hydrogen story is supposed to be in operation by 2025 and it takes something around two years to build those storage caverns, so this can't drag on for too much longer.
And that 2025 is a globohomo date for this, because we see the same date everywhere in the world.
We can at least assume that there's not going to be any significant environmental bullshit delaying this, because these plans come from the green malthusian cult themselves.

The way I would do this, is to try and stretch things out until next year before any work needs to be done that costs any significant amount of money.
Then take the bare minimum amount of debt and stretch the construction process as far as it can go with that.
Just keep the delays going until we get the TPR funds and then go all out with the mine construction.

>They're not mutually exclusive.
they are if we're talking about the whole nation. The national economy.

the problem is americans in the rust belt think industry was way more important than it ever was, because it's all they ever had. So they worry about the US losing its industrial base and try to find ways to bring it back.

this leads to inevitable frustration because while industry was their entire world, the rest of the country simply didn't care. Still doesn't. We don't want factory jobs. We don't need factory jobs. So you got this vast chunk of america that's constantly trying to get something back that nobody else wants. It creates discord. Hurt feelings. Biased views of the nation's history and how important industry ever was here. And it never was very important, aside from during WWII and a couple decades immediately after.

The less heavy industry we've had, the better our economy has done. Unskilled workers in economic dead zones don't know this because they didn't benefit, but it's true. If we want to bankrupt the US all we have to do is bring back a shitload of heavy industry.

cost of living matters

$30 is probably a great wage in coal country appalachia. In colorado it's near minimum wage. Coal miners make far less money than metals miners in the US, but they also live in places where their money goes much further. He states that "Only fourteen people - 12 percent of the total - represent individual miners, prospectors and explorers, politicians, labor leaders, philanthropists, and all others." The people commemorated are predominantly white Anglo-Saxon Protestant men, while historically mining has been one of America's most multicultural occupations. Loewen also criticizes the museum for its lack of any kind of memorial dedicated to the thousands and thousands who have lost their lives laboring in the coal mines.[9] Social, labor, safety, and environmental issues related to coal mining are now explored in "Buried Sunlight: Coal Mining in America," an exhibit that opened in 2017.

It was great in the 80s, 90s, even 2000s. Now it's just a big San Francisco.
