This, it's sound advice for the average normie who is too impulsive to be trusted with credit. For people who actually do pay them off every month and don't carry a balance, though, nothing wrong with it. I chase cashback point and get between 2-10% back on my cards depending on the category. Yeah obviously not going to make you rich, like Dave always says it's your income that does that. But I get a couple thousand dollars a year in cash back, and it's all tax free. Not life-changing money, but it covers what I spend on groceries for example and other basic expenses. Definitely not going to complain about free money.

The Ramsey personalities also like to say they don't use CC because cashback and points are earned on the backs of stupid people who do carry a balance and pay late fees/interest. But all banks profit off fees and interest, so if you're morally opposed to credit cards for that reason, you better close down your checking and savings accounts as well.
