I'll be turning 25 tomorrow and just woke up in the middle of the night. My youth is gone, and I'm not living my life to the fullest. Weeks turn into years, time flies by.
I have a loving girlfriend of 6 years and a great paying job (self employed), but I don't have time to do what I enjoy. I don't even know what I enjoy anymore besides doing sports.
For the past couple of years I've been trying to save up as much money as possible so that when I become a father, I can spend my time raising my kids.
My real life started years ago and I didn't notice.

Remember who you are. Plan your destination. Advance yourself each day.

You are a man now, op. You have a responsibility to your future progeny to secure their future. This is more of a challenge than it ever has been, but with enough will power any goal is reachable

I've been living the Stoic live ever since I turned 18, working hard and having something to show for it. I've been grinding but even at $90 an hour it takes time. One day I'll wake up and be 60, never having known where all that life went. The only thing I'm proud of is getting a girlfriend who genuinely loves me. Never thought I'd do that

What is the destination? In the progress of reaching it, my time fades. Once I'm there the grim reaper is knocking at my door

>What is the destination?
You have to decide this for yourself.

>Once I'm there the grim reaper is knocking at my door
Exactly. How do you want to end? What legacy will you leave?

For me, I want my destination to be a huge family on a huge amount of land. I want to build an estate for my sons and set them up for greater success. I also want to teach my sons how to stand strong as the world continues its descend into chaos. This is where my path leads; however, the journey to this ultimate destination is where all the fun lies.

You’re going to have to start picking and choosing what you spend your time on. You can’t achieve everything in life so you need to prioritise a couple of things really well and let other people specialise in everything else.
