How the fuck do normies manage to be at work at 8:00 AM sharp, sometimes earlier, showered, breakfast eaten etc.
Then leave the office between 15 and 16.

Let’s assume they have about 30 minutes commute time. That’s being generous even. That mean they’re come again around 16:30.

Let’s say they wake up at 6, in order to be at work at 8, that means they need to sleep at 22.

That means they have about 5 and a half hours to buy groceries, cook, eat, wash up, clean, brush teeth, shower, wash their clothes as they’re always well dressed

How do they manage to relax in between all of that in the 5 hour window? They also socialize and shit inside of that time. How? Some of them even have kids.

In my early twenties, I had a job that required me to be the first person at the office at 7:30 (occasionally 7) for about 1/4 of the year. 15-20 minute commute (short distance but insane speed restrictions on my route) so I was getting up at 6 or earlier (and still often late). Most of those days, I'd leave around 1700-1730, but some days I had to stay until 2000 or later. During part of that period, I went to the gym after work for about an hour, maybe more, very occasionally grocery shopped, cooked twice a week or otherwise heated up leftovers. Others, I worked out at home. Also had to take work home sometimes. So, free time was 2-4 hours a day, definitely no time to go out or anything. My twenties were wasted in a fog of sleep-deprived anxiety and social isolation aside from social media hell. All for naught; it didn't lead to a career.

Apparently this is relatively mild. Some people commute multiple hours, some people work nights, some people have lunch breaks that aren't an hour, etc. I've since experienced worse conditions like that and they were never sustainable.

We're headed for a crash.

I was a NEET for the past 11 years and just went back to waging, it's easier once you've gotten sleeping in out of your system. I get up before 6 now to be at work at 7 and it's easy since for years I got up whenever I wanted.

Wagie here
4am- wake up, go to gym
5:30- get home, have breakfast
6:45- go to work
7-3:30- work
3:30-4- get groceries and go home
4-8- have a shower and make dinner at some point.
I have about 3 consecutive hours for other stuff, but you don't need to consume entertainment for hours every day.

I'm lucky to have a 5-10 minute commute but I start at 7. So I have to wake up at 6:20 (try to), shower, get dressed into work clothes, pack lunch, and head to work. Then I usually don't go to bed until after midnight. Turns out you can adjust to 6 hours of sleep if you force your body to.

>How the fuck do normies manage to be at work at 8:00 AM sharp, sometimes earlier, showered, breakfast eaten etc.

nope, i roll out of bed, put on my cleanest looking clothes and go to office. i arrive early at 7:50 before my supervisor comes at 8 or 8:30. i tell her i came at 7:30 and i'm leaving at 4PM/16. i don't have to tell her anymore, i come early to beat traffic anyway so i just leave early. i eat breakfast at office.

>Then leave the office between 15 and 16.
>That means they have about 5 and a half hours to buy groceries, cook, eat, wash up, clean, brush teeth, shower, wash their clothes as they’re always well dressed

my office is near a costco. i walk out like i'm going to use the bathroom, jump in my car, go down 5 min to costco, pick up lunch from ready to eat (they've been selling doner kebab kits at mine) and 2-3 other things, out of there in 10-15 min and back in office so total time out is like 25 min. i do laundry when i run out of clean enough clothes every 2-3 weeks or so. or whenever i remember.

my office is very lax compared to 99% of other offices, i hate my supervisor and she returns the favor but we keep out of each other's way because we're both doing shit like going to costco on company time, not even lunch time. i fuck around on my tablet a lot because a lot of down time, no one is paid enough to care. also i've been here 3 years so i'm not some dumb zoomer slacking for the sake of slacking, there's genuinely not enough for me to do because i was used to using every second of my shift for 1 and a half years being short staffed and having to be efficient as fuck.

with that said i can't wait to quit during peak season for a pay raise and let my new supervisor experience being shorthanded here.

This is the only way work life seems feasible to me. I think it's still doable if you have a girlfriend even if you don't live with her, some primal provider instinct kicks in and you just put your head down and work. You also get rewarded with sex. I don't know how single/virgin wagies with no dating prospects do it though. Like why the fuck are you working if you have 0 dating prospects, it just doesn't make any sense. Okay, so here's how it works.
> Commuting: You get a car. This cuts down your commuting time considerably as well as lets you carry bunch of groceries for the entire week.
> Cooking and cleaning: You buy cooking appliances, dishwasher and so on which do most of the work on the background. Rice cooker basically does boiled foods for you automatically.

There's tons of shit you can just buy to save time, which do, but also earn you the hate of the leftie green types who shriek at you for being consoomer. You don't even got to vacuum anymore because a robot can handle that shit.

Hardest part is to get good enough at your job that you can still handle it even with a maimed sleep schedule, but once you do, you won't have problems even if you game a little bit too much once or twice a week.

If you can buy time while working, always do so.

The schedule isn’t too rough but the trick is to make sure you aren’t caught in a trap of it and stay in the same place for 30 years. I started my current job four months ago and am already planning on switching departments next year. Granted I am fortunate to work in a rather lax office, but still. I jobhopped beforehand for a bit because I hated the other places I was at. It all deals with what and how much you’re willing to put up with. Just remember that either way you go about it life is fake and gay and you die in the end anyways, so you might as well try to make the most of it. I think normalfags are lying. I don't think any of them have difficult jobs and I'm fairly certain this includes physical labor positions as well. Everyone I have ever pressed about the finer details of their job inevitably reveals that it's easy, if not a tad monotonous, with ample downtime and loads of benefits. You can disagree with me but my broader point is that if normalfags lie about the most absurd shit imaginable why would they not exaggerate their jobs for dramatic effect and sympathy baiting? I personally choose to believe that if 80% of jobs are bullshit, at least 4/5 people are being facetious when they claim working is so taxing on their mental state.

>Not trolling; I genuinely wonder how much the constant use of interactive media as a child rewired my brain.
I wonder this too.
>Can't turn it off. Always thinking about something.
Same. Boomers and boomer politicians need to be careful with these "lazy" millenials and zoomers because if an entire generation of our video game addled brains decide to hyper focus on something we could change the world. Can you imagine if WW3 happened and the zoomies really "got into it?" How could they be stopped if they went into battle with the same fervor as they went into a fortnite match with? What happens if WW3 does not occur and instead the millenials and zoomies realize that its the central banks that are cheating them? Keeping these generations asleep is the only way to control their autism, and if they wake up...

Get out of here stalker.
>Just remember that either way you go about it life is fake and gay and you die in the end anyways, so you might as well try to make the most of it.
True. My personal viewpoint is that life is not a cosmic tragedy but rather a dark comedy and I'm going to have fun with it.

Pretty much. The system is designed to break people, so it's no surprise it succeeds overall in doing that. If you were the God of this system, with a moderate understanding of human beings you could assemble and organize parts that after tweaking the numbers are guaranteed to dominate most people. Keep them sleep deprived, keep them living paycheck to paycheck, keep uncertainty high in their day to day lives, keep their levels of fear and anxiety slightly elevated, keep them operating from a place of scarcity, have it adapt the closer people get to escaping in order to drag them back in deeper, make sure there are clear signals when adjustments are necessary, etc.

You don't have to be a genius to design a system that accomplishes this and once the parts are in place, you can adjust the numbers as needed. From the perspective of the "God" of this system for example free time and extra money in a person's pocket is a glitch. It's an inefficiency that needs to be corrected. As I said, it's not really a surprise that so many people get pulled in and get put into a coma until they die when that is arguably the intent of the system. Any profitable opportunities you discover are only profitable because the overseers of the system have not accounted for it yet. Once they do, they'll tax, regulate, and eliminate it as an avenue for escaping the system.

They even are managing to find exciting ways to prevent generational wealth by scaling up end of life costs and adjusting coverage from insurance to maximize capital destruction. Even when any of this is accidental, it is an extremely convenient accident for people in power and so they'll never do anything to correct it. That's the current world and when one understands this, none of how things function should be a surprise at all. It's working as intended.

What a waste. If you're selling so much of your time that you don't get to have a life you might as well sell the rest. Clock out from your 9-5 and drive for Uber another 6 hours.

I have a wagie job for the summer (starting my masters in 3 weeks). If I had to do this for the rest of my life I’d kill myself before turning 35. It is better to live in a tent in the woods and read books

Spot on, quality post.

Reality is that there are some jobs that can't be half-assed or done part time. You can't casually develop bleeding edge technology or build major infrastructure part-time. You need to be extracting max value from your brightest minds or you will be dominated by countries that do.

Yes, some of them love pushing the envelope of technology, but how would they ever realize this if you had a relaxed culture of part time work? How would you ever convince someone to fully engross themselves in serious study for 40+ hours per week if the norm is to do half that?

Yeah but think of middle managers and bloat staff that are redundant with no offices. The CRE baggies that are holding these empty cowork spaces. The psychology of employers deprived of inflicting their Gaze upon their property (wagies).

I think an economic downturn will be the cover to threaten these beaten cattle back into their pens.

I was particularly hating on his spacing and use of zoomer words like "neurotypical", he just comes off like another victim mindset, dopamine fried brain redditor.

I'm guilty of gaming too, chasing easy dopamine, etc. This life is difficult and requires discipline. If I can cultivate anything right now and pass it onto my children it will be discipline.

I was the same way until my niece and nephew wound up in the foster system and I became father of two overnight. I was planning on having only one until that happened, then it was like "Huh, this isn't bad at all.". They're moved out now, and I've got three of my own.

It's kind of like what >>55790269 said. Normies exaggerate the difficulty of everything. Either that or they genuinely suck at everything;
125 years ago people would be born into families with 8+ siblings.

>Free time

You'll keep a lot more free time than you think. You're already cooking meals and you're already doing laundry. It takes next to no additional time to make a little more or toss some extra clothes in the wash. Most all the normal tasks scale up nicely.

What does get restricted is your ability to go places. Takes quite a while before they can stay home by themselves. Bars and concerts become a lot less viable. You'll have time, but it will have to be at home.

Godspeed, brother. The fact that you're concerned about it means you'll do great.

What's most mentally taxing is the acting necessary to keep up the charade. The day flies by if you actually have shit to do. It's why they had to introduce hour limits for semi truck drivers.

Truckers in the US are limited to 11 hours per day, 6 days per week. Yes, that's the maximum. Before the limits you'd have truckers that just preferred to power through a 16 hour leg in one shot while pissing in Gatorade bottles. Those 250 gallon tanks can go 2000 miles with a heavy load, and I assure you that there were dudes snorting meth and hauling ass to make as much money as possible.

Side note, I think the term "Discipline" has been heavily bastardized. In contemporary use it means the ability to do endure shit you don't want to do. That's not what the disciples were doing. They wanted to follow Christ and learn the Jesus shit.

It's a lot of smoke and mirrors. Workaholics claiming moral superiority over those who would rather do other things. They only pretend like their career was a burden, when in reality it was their identity. They're the same kind of people who claim to be disciplined, but would entirely unable to sit in meditation for an hour without twitching or opening their eyes.

Just give them productive and useful shit to focus on. Hardcore gamers have plenty of discipline for the games; only problem is that it's a mostly useless school of study.
