Wearing a suit, with hair neatly combed, eyes wide and round, there I was, little me, taking my first ID photo. I printed six copies, gave two to HR, and kept the remaining four. Two of them were tucked into my little briefcase. One was to be offered to my late father, and the other was to be kept for my mother. The other two, one was for the print shop, to make a business card for designer Mike Mouse, phone number 426969. The last one, I decided to keep on me. I thought, if I didn't make it through this winter, if I froze to death in the sewer, if I encountered a nimble cat... no matter what happened, with this ID photo, the departed little mouse wouldn't just be an ordinary hamster. It would be a striving and positive mouse, representing the unique designer Mike Mouse.
