Brilliant idea, but please remember LINK pulled a 300x from its 2018 lows already... the material upside from here ONLY comes if the most schizoid of theses materialises, and LINK actually collateralises astronomically large underlying smart contracts in the new economy yada yada within the next 2 years. Well, we're 6 years in now with v0.1 staking. Not exactly the bet I want to place for the next cycle.

This market isn't a hyper-efficient meritocracy. Fish the fish instead of whaling. Wrong game to play for these odds.

It's necessary for the system to work. The token is an ERC677 standard which uses the transferandcall function to operate within the protocol. Beyond that, a token is required (with sufficient financial backing) to secure the network.
