They are hated by life and may not even realize it because they are completely cut off from their own body.

As for the BTC whales dumping it every time, they must be cursed to literally have the hands of soulless.
Everything they touch or try to buy and control becomes empty and worthless.

I know the standard thing on biz is just to shit over everything that isn't tantamount to paranoid schizophrenia, but since my journey to greener pastures began I've found solace in many places. I watched this vid the other day that made me laugh and realise how far I'd come and how better off I am: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9IF6GaX1sY&t=17m15s

"Chainlink is a classic example [of fuck the tech]: brilliant technology, oracle, price feed, one of the best techs out there; I do not give a fuck about the coin. The coin is -- in my opinion, yeah you can stake it, fair enough -- what is the coin going to do with the tech? The tech can still exist without the coin. The coin is just there for it helped with raising capital, it helped with raising funds, and now it's a tradable commodity."

I've vetted that guy and while I'm sure the guy has a less than 100% hit rate (enough for others to crucify him), he's proven very sensible when I've backtested his calls. What he said is how everyone except people who stapled their cock to this token see LINK. And they're right. The same FA logic in favour of LINK in 2017/18 ought to get folks to think more broadly today. Brilliant idea, but please remember LINK pulled a 300x from its 2018 lows already... the material upside from here ONLY comes if the most schizoid of theses materialises, and LINK actually collateralises astronomically large underlying smart contracts in the new economy yada yada within the next 2 years. Well, we're 6 years in now with v0.1 staking. Not exactly the bet I want to place for the next cycle.

This market isn't a hyper-efficient meritocracy. Fish the fish instead of whaling. Wrong game to play for these odds.

inb4 "my best financial interests"
I've made mistakes, but was able to suspend my ego just in time to make enough money last cycle, which I would've had no chance to do if I couldn't admit mistakes (aka baggie).

If your point is "tech can't exist without the token because the token raises funds to support the tech" we agree we, otherwise you've missed the context and the point of the idea which is to set oneself up to surf the liquidity of the next cycle. If you're someone whose strategy boils down to "just cling brainlessly to LINK", I'd counsel you to think differently because that's exactly the stupidity that saw me nearly squander a once-in-a-lifetime 100x.

No. My point is you're an idiot who has zero clue what he's talking about when it comes to Oracles or blockchain tech in general. Chainlink protocol cannot exist without the Chainlink token. It's necessary for the system to work. The token is an ERC677 standard which uses the transferandcall function to operate within the protocol. Beyond that, a token is required (with sufficient financial backing) to secure the network.
I know you're just depressed fudder pretending to be some outside observer so I will make this my last response. You can continue to be a disingenuous nigger, I won't be reading or replying further.

for me it's very simple, as it stands, crypto is going nowhere, perhaps a DLT-based functional solution will emerge in the next 10 years, but in terms of legacy institutional usage, crypto is completely useless, and a centralized price-checking service isn't going to change this

My response to your low IQ response it that bitcoin can at least pump a little bit from hype, not that I care about that memecoin at all. Chainlink has nothing going for it, the core argument for chainlink's price appreciation is in how successful the protocol is for generating revenue, since Sergey is so averse to hyping his coin up or giving anything to the people he dumps on.

Common problem as far as confusing your ideal non-speculative end-state with the state of affairs as it exists today which strips the equation of all speculation entirely. These are exactly the indicators that will see you minced in yet another cycle. Just don't kid yourself: your bet is that over the course of the next cycle, LINK will manage to revolutionise global commerce and release full-fledged staking for multi-trillion dollar smart contracts. Why would you be sheepish about this? This is your thesis. I'm much, much more comfortable being on the other side of that idea taking a contrary trade. Brilliant idea. Not for making money anymore.

What do you bros predict the reward rate is going to be for a lockup of 6 months compared to say 2 years?

Just so you know, 1pbtid, in 2017/18, the mental contribution from anons in biz made it somewhere worthwhile to be to find financial opportunity at the time. LINK was one of the finest examples at the time. Just something to keep in mind. We're gearing up for a bull-cycle. Unironically I want as many decent people to make it as possible.

>why Chainlink needs "revenue"
they can continue to dump tokens indefinitely (minting different tokens for "security" when they run out of link), that's true. if they go that route, they should not spend their funds on frivolous garbage like conferences and bloated departments of useless employees. they are behaving like a successful business while being entirely reliant on handouts from retail investors they tricked by presentations of charts that go up or groups of arrows that point at people

>> No.55743756

Pretty much any crypto can.
ETH famously doesn't even have a supply cap.
Bitcoin devs can increase the supply cap too if they get the two biggest mining pools to go along with it.
