I think AVAX whales are well aware of it (Or the whales that macro swing trade most major coins), Everytime it's sitting right on the verge of breakout we've seen relentless dumping that persist even against the market, It's like big money don't want AVAX to break out yet, Or maybe Avalabs themselves. One thing i've learned in crypto in the past 5 years is that *all* pumps are highly coordinated and happen consciously, All things come in line at the same time (Marketing, TA, News, Exchange backing, Technical progress, Foundation grants etc), So maybe big money don't think it's time yet.

This space should seek healthy competition so narratives could be properly challenged, They can't at the moment because ETH whales account for 90% of the alt market money, They brute force everything according to their wishes. I think AVAX and Solana as top 5 coins should be healthy (Not that Solana and Avax are similar, Avalanche is closer to Ethereum if any, But each account for different philosophy and they're the best at executing them).

The damage these two has done for AVAX brand must be unparalleled, Something went very very wrong that a project like Avalanche, Which was clearly the most promising project in the last 5 years from techy pov (Pre ZK stuff maybe), Isn't sitting comfortably above Polygon, Cardano and Ripple. Really i remember in 2020 even ETH people claiming they're considering moving permanently to Avalanche, And considering Avalanche only delivered since then, The problem could only be a failure in building a community (Avax has pretty good community but not nearly as much as it should) and personal dislike of the founders. It's been astronomical failure on the marketing front.

And desu i don't think they were THAT bad personally, often they were right, but they fail into many traps and didn't play the social game right.
