I wouldn't, I think the worst is over with for bonds. You're down because we had crazy inflation and the fastest rate hike cycle in history. This means that your lower yielding bonds lost value as yields went higher.
But from here yields won't have such dramatic moves like the past few years. AGG could still go down but the dividends will be high enough to make up for it.
The only way you'll lose significant money with AGG now is if there is an inflationary black swan event or credit spreads blow out so much that the corporate debt in AGG pulls it down

https://www.forexlive.com/news/forexlive-americas-fx-news-wrap-27-julz-ecbs-hikes-with-boj-next-us-data-strong-today-20230727/
>The day started with the ECB hiking rates by 25 basis points as expected. Shortly thereafter, a slew of economic data the US was released with all showing better than expected data. Initial jobless claims came in at 221K versus estimated 235K. Durable goods orders were much stronger than expected at 4.7% versus 1.0%. Second-quarter GDP in the US was also higher at 2.4% versus 1.8%.
>The data sent the US dollar higher, yields higher
>ECB's Lagarde presser was next, and her comments were more dovish and help to push the dollar even higher (and the EUR lower).
>However, around the time the U.S. Treasury auctioned off seven-year notes with tepid demand, a report from a Nikkei came out saying that the Bank of Japan was discussing tweaking the yield curve controls. Recall from last week comments to the contrary were released sending the JPY lower.
All 3 things happened. You are choosing to put your head in the sand and deny the morning move.

I am posting a finance article that says the exact same things that I am saying. That morning hike + ECB dovishness and US data made euro crash and dollar surge higher.
>WAOOOWW WHAT COPE!!!
It's an article dipshit! They are confirming everything that I said! Lmao.
If you are still denying that the euro falling made the dollar fall, which made stocks retreat in the morning, YOU are the one who is incapable of irrational thought. I don't even know what to say - are you really this fucking retarded?
Again, read the fucking article dipshit:
https://www.forexlive.com/news/forexlive-americas-fx-news-wrap-27-julz-ecbs-hikes-with-boj-next-us-data-strong-today-20230727/
>
>The data sent the US dollar higher, yields higher, and also advanced US stocks. The Dow Industrial Average was coming off its 13th consecutive day to the upside yesterday. A close higher today would be the longest streak since 1897 (when earnings rose for 14 consecutive days).
>ECB's Lagarde presser was next, and her comments were more dovish and help to push the dollar even higher (and the EUR lower).
NOBODY IS DENYING THE BOJ MOVE ALSO MATTERED!!! I AM NOT DENYING THE BOJ MOVE!! JESUS FUCKING CHRIST YOU'RE FUCKING RETARDED
>inb4 OMG I'M NOT READING ALL THAT!!!11ONE
You have zero reading comprehension. You are incapable of reading. You are fucking retarded. You are wrong. The euro moving moved the dollar. That moved equities in the morning. Nobody is denying the BOJ move also moved equities. Jesus christ.

This is not complex shit. ECB hiked and was less aggressive than expected. This made the euro dump, hard. The euro is weighted 57% of the dollar basket. So of course, if the highest weighted currency crashes, it will make the dollar rise sharply.

Legendary post. We've got ourselves a stable genius here. Euro down => DXY up. What a strange coincidence, considering DXY is >50% based on USD/EUR pair.
Oh but wait a second, weren't we supposed to be discussing factors leading to the movements of major stock market indexes...?

Lets ignore the massive market selloff which started at ~1pm and aligned perfectly with the BoJ YCC tweak rumors.
Lets ignore the midnight futures spike and reversal as the rumors were confirmed and the markets digested the info during Japanese trading hours.
Lets ignore the ramp back higher as yen traders decided they don't give a shit - because overnight borrowing rates are unchanged and the 10y bonds aren't instantly pushing their new 1% cap, and even if they do it's still a negative real yield.

Nah, the whole move yesterday was some eurocuck bullshit that everyone already expected to happen. That was what really mattered. I'm a genius.

>> No.55688865

>>55688837
This has nothing to do with Mike Wilson, or the overall bearish thesis.
Yesterday, the ECB came out less aggressive than expected, in conjunction with strong US data. This made the euro fall sharply - the dollar rise sharply. This put equities under pressure in the morning.
Then, at 1:00pm there was a really bad 7 year treasury auction. Immediately afterward within minutes, BOJ rumor of YCC tweak.
All 3 things moved the markets yesterday to the downside.
That's it - that's what this discussion is about. There's an anon who is insisting "No!! The euro falling didn't move markets!! It was only the BOJ that mattered yesterday!!! You're schizo for bringing up the euro move!!!"
It's all connected lmao. He's just fucking retarded and unable to admit "Oh yeah, that also happened"
I'm not denying that the BOJ also moved markets, and moved them sharper than the morning move (which I think that he thinks I am)
The morning move also mattered, moved currencies, also moved equities.

>weren't we supposed to be discussing factors leading to the movements of major stock market indexes...?
YES. The dollar moving, currencies moving, causes major movements in stock indices!
Wow - what a fucking retard you are, you said indexes, not indices!! Do you see my point above?
Was it a typo on your part, or do you really not know it's called indices not indexes? [I don't give a fuck about whether you said indices or indexes, just pointing out to you how retarded your first sentence is - I care about the substance of your argument, not minor typos]
>Lets ignore the massive market selloff which started at ~1pm and aligned perfectly with the BoJ YCC tweak rumors.
Again! You fucking retard! I have said 20 times that I am not ignoring the BOJ move! That the BOJ move was more significant, but that the morning move is what made the dollar surge higher, and from the get go had equities under pressure. How many times do I have to say this?
You keep insisting "Yeah well BOJ!" No fucking shit! I agree! BOJ moved markets! Lmao
>Nah, the whole move yesterday
Nowhere throughout all of these discussions, not today, not yesterday, not once, have I said that it was the reason for the whole move, that it was one and only the reason for the dump. From the beginning, I have only said that it contributed, that it was the first action to take place in the morning, that made the dollar rise, and already had equities on shaky footing.
I have said repeatedly that the BOJ moved markets more. Are you really this retarded?
