The only agreement that matters in this arrangement is, can you trust each other to be civil if you have a break up. We had that conversation and we trusted each other. We moved in together before we got engaged and when we were engaged we decided to merge our finances and set a budget together. We are happily married now. Take this wisdom and make your own choice. That’s a fairly safe move as far as I know. If she’s someone you’re happy to live with and she’s willing to chip in on half the rent, that should be fine if not commendable. This sounds like the rare occurrence where the woman in the equation isn’t playing some secret game against you.
