It dawned on me recently that, in America, "making it" just means you never have to deal with black people. You live in a gated community because random blacks don't just wander into it. You get the penthouse suite so you don't have to listen to black people playing their loud shitty music in the street below you. You take a private jet so there are no black people on the plane with you. You get the box seats at the stadium so that you don't have to sit with black people. You send your kids to private school because there are almost no black kids there. You go golfing because there's only Tiger Woods there and at least he's polite. You join a country club because there are no black members. You climb Mount Everest because there are no black people up there.

In a way it explains why black people are so angry all the time because no matter how much money they make they can never get away from themselves.
