Personally I think the whole telecom services sector is most likely a race to the bottom , but with the current setup I see much more danger for incumbents like T.
It's just the nature of any capital-intense business with low marginal cost and no real moats. Price cuts abound until some of the more overextended competitors go bankrupt. Then in another decade, the next buildout of 6G or personal satellites or whatever will lead to a return of pricing power among those few who survived.

Great for consumers though. Data here in the US was always pretty expensive compared to the rest of the world.
