I fixed my diet from junk food to more healthy stuff, also exercising most days. It took a while to accept that I'm obese, but I finally have and now I've come to look at it as it is, a health problem, just like needing to recover from a disease.

While I definitely have felt better from better diet and more exercise, it still hasn't made me lose that much weight. I went from 240 to 235 in a couple months. So I downloaded an app that will also count calories for me so I cant justify overeating away. This will also help me constantly realize that I might as well be sick by being obese and I need to treat it seriously.

So, coming from 235 lbs, 6ft, and estimated 28-31% body fat, if I eat 2000 calories a day or less with regularly walk/running, how long should it take to get to 200?

You’re looking for /fit/ but the answer is about 3 months. You also don’t need 2000 calories a day, probably closer to 1500

You don't need to make it so complicated just cut down on sugar and greesy foods and walk/run 20 miles a week and you WILL lose weight fast

no sodas (diet is ok sometimes)

Calculate your basal metabolic rate. Eat that many calories every day. Aim for ~150 grams of protein, not because you necessarily need to, but that'll will make it harder for you to justify wasting calories in empty carbs. If you don't lose weight, you're not counting calories correctly. The financial implications of this are that you'll probably save money. You can put that money towards buying more unregistered securities.

Congratulations. Understanding the problem and starting to work on the solution is the hardest part.
Reminder that if you lose weight and gain it again, the second time is twice as hard because of stomach bacteria changing. So take this as 1 chance you will never get again.
Also, a tip - protein makes you fuller. 1 Ribeye steak is a great dinner. You can have a 600 calorie dinner with a milk-based protein shake, and blend in some shit that's good for you like banana, spinach, oats, etc - you won't feel hungry for 18 hours.
>how long should it take
Google "calorie calculator", plenty of easy answers to this. I personally like the calculator dot net one.

Also you should probably at least read the sticky on >>>/fit/

Financially, you need to also lift weights.

I lost 18kg in the last 6 months. Here is what I did:
. Progressively walk more every day. Now walking 5k steps
. No high intensity cardio, used to swim but it gives me too much hunger
. Progressively fast more, now I can eat only one time a day with no problem
. Eat a bunch or protein, it keeps me from feeling hunger for longer than carbs
. Give in to cravings and eating normal when I'm on social situations. This is for sanity of mind
. Unironically I changed my job. I'm earning less but I'm doing something I like and it's way less stressful. Stress keeps you fat
. Sleep at least 7h every day
. Track my weight and fat% daily

I used to be obese in the bmi, now I'm overweight. So I'll start lifting and swiming again because it's healty

Not OP but if diet ones are so low in calories then why not drink them? I assume it's because of the artificial sweeteners but how bad are those for you really?

Forgot to add that most of my meals are just 150 gr. of spaghetti with a sauce I make from tomato puree+either tuna or chicken sausage. It keeps me fed up for the whole day and very simple to make

Stop eating sneed oils. From now on it's butter, lard, coconut, some olive oil for salads.
