>Is Monero's unlimited supply, good economics?
Yes, because it will never have the market cap of BTC and will require financial incentives to reward validators. It's still less bad than the MMT jews printing trillions of USD.
>What happens to price if the supply is infinite?
The supply grows at a fixed rate, and much slower than the USD, so it will continue to go up in price, all other things being equal.

It won't surpass Bitcoin's supply til later in the 2040's. Plus drugs and guns and weapons will always be valuable. Especially when CBDCs come around and you are tracked fully.

Even with a constant issuance rate (say 1 XMR per block), at a certain point in time, the supply will have reached a finite limit, similar to bitcoins 21m hard cap.

Because there is non-zero rate of XMR lost forever due to loss of private keys.

Even if that is a very small percentage, let's say it's 0.001% per year, at a certain point in time, the issuance of 1 XMR per block per year equals that 0.001% and then that will be the total supply. Of course it's not a hard-cap like in bitcoin, rather it would fluctuate around that, because in some years people will be clumsier and maybe lose 0.003% and in others they will be more careful on average and only lose 0.0008%, but the point still remains.

But Monero is a shitcoin with no real control over the supply anyway. Read the code, it's pathetic.

Actually, this might surprise you, but Bitcoin supply is unlimited as well. They will have to raise the arbitrary limit once mining becomes unsustainable.

XMR is just keeping it real.
Also, the XMR supply is as unlimited as a minimum wage earner can earn infinite money given sufficient time.
Technically correct but the infinity has no practical relevance.

Would be best if XMR just implemented an arbitrary supply limit far into the future to fool the retards just like Bitcoin and Litecoin did,
