>In economics and finance, a Glownigger Market is said to occur when a country's financial policymakers begin manipulating econometric data for their political benefit. [1] This may be accompanied by organized propaganda campaigns, hidden monetary easing, as well as other forms of financial repression, in order to reinforce the illusion that a nation's troubled economy is sound and resilient. [2, 3] In a Glownigger Market, stocks may seem to rally, even irrationally so, in the face of worsening economic conditions. However, while the goal of a Glownigger Market is to either delay or prevent a politically undesireable financial correction from occurring, the policy actions that led to the Glownigger Market invariably increase the severity of the subsequent financial crisis. By attempting to overpower healthy corrective market forces, a Glownigger Market causes extreme capital misallocation that can turn a minor economic downturn into a severe and protracted economic depression. GM's done fuck all this year despite having good sales and the silverado EV which mogs the Tesla Cybercuck, I think earnings in the morning will be good enough to send it to 50 on good sales and hype for their EV line up. Why buy a redditmobile when there's this. Could you actually see the truck owner demographic hauling wood and fishing boats around in cybercucks?

The FED bailed out all banks by guaranteeing the value of their loans at par value and guaranteeing all customer deposits regardless of the 250k insurance, this is a bailout to the letter. 90% of banks would have collapsed overnight if it hadn’t done this. Their loans are worth less than 50% of their book value and they can’t cover customer withdrawal. They’re also doing shadow YCC on the long term bonds to maintain bond value price

The fed did a technical bailout but it was more psychological than physically bailing out. Banks bore the cost of insuring those depositors and payed out their own insurance fund to it. The Fed took on debt by offering loans, but again those are loans that the banks would need to pay back in the future and those were at fed rate so they're toxic loans to hold onto their books so they will want to pay the fed back as soon as possible once their balance sheets can handle it. I do think some of those banks should have found out for fucking around, but it is what it is at this point. I was also praying for a CRE apocalyse but seems I was wrong because DRV is making fresh lows recently.

Looks like over the next few years, they'll lower it to 200-300 bepis points, then do more rape hikes back to 500 or more again
Another funny thing is that in July 2019, they started cutting rates. They wouldn't need to do that unless the economy was unhealthy. Covid didn't really have a good foothold until Jan-March 2020 when the rates hit 0% and the equities markets took a dive. Curious.

And the most important: OIL
Oil for july 2023 is higher than june and may (mean). June Oil 2022 was the peak, July Oil 2022 was way lower, so the difference between both years will be way less (no -13% inflation yoy or more as last cpi).

Haven't read them for a long time, but even last year or at the start of the year, the production was fine. Ukraine is not substantial enough to pump prices this high again as last year. It was pure speculation and panic buying. Russia on the other hand is a major exporter. If they want, they'll find other way to export it. They sure don't want to be seen as the one causing a famine.

None of the insurance was used, the banks that “failed” got acquired by mega banks and the FED is holding and guaranteeing full price on the toxic loans. The FED has no choice but to extend the lending program or lower rates to 0, all hell will break lose if the FED ends its lending program/loan price guarantee and all loans go back to their real value.
