Hmm current payment on all debt (personal loan + credit card) is $420 a month. Although its split thank god. Roughly pay half during mid of the month and the other during the end of the month. Payoff of personal loan is in 2026. At which time I can dump the whole 420 at the credit card. The rub; Her car is at the point its saying "Hey I'm getting ready to die soon" The other rub; tax refunds. Ideally I'd dump them at the credit card to knock that down faster. That is precisely what is happening. US shale oil in the 2010s basically just delayed the inevitable. The west is realizing they're not gonna be able to keep oil stable in dollars much longer because cheap oil is peaking globally and shale is peaking domestically, and global producers know it and are gonna stick it to us. But you can't just come out and tell people what's going on because it causes a panic and oil speculation yadda yadda so, the reason is: 'climate change'.

In truth, the solution is not batteries it's CNG and/or ammonia powered ICE vehicles. Ammonia can be synthesized from air and water in infinite quantity with no CO2 issues if electricity is cheap enough (Uranium chads know what I'm sayin). Petrochems and plastics are a little more problematic, but again if electricity/heat is cheap enough we can find other feedstock that is renewable.

LPG equivalent CNG tanks for forklifts are 3-5x the size, and LPG only has about 70% the volumetric energy density as gasoline, so you'd need a tank 10-20x the size, and 100x the cost, of a gasoline tank to get the same performance from a CNG car as a gas car.
