I'm gonna get my mom's house when she dies so I'm basically already a homeowner. Bitch is a fucking failure though so it's a tiny house. I'll never be able to attract a woman or raise a family in a 1,200sqft home. Wish I had parents who actually cared enough to give me a better house.

I grew up in 5 different foster families, my mother was a prostitute who I haven't seen since I was 5, never knew my dad, at least I got height from him. Joined the Navy the day after I turned 18 and never went back to the East Coast.
I own my own home now...small but mine. Be appreciative with what you have.

What some people are doing is buying a transportable house, you can get some high -spec ones for 100k-200k, or much cheaper for low spec.
These are tradeable, when you finally get your own home you can sell them, or keep it and put it on your section for an air bnb or for grandma.

In the meantime you ask someone with land if you can park your house on a piece of land for 100 a week or whatever.

In canada, 98% of new buyers are priced out. That's a literal, real number btw, not hyperbole

Lol there’s a high chance your mom sells the house to fund her caretaking in the last decade of her life or get a reverse mortgage so there will be nothing left for you.

Sorry anon…

It doesn’t matter as long as there are enough rich investors to slurp any dips. It’s not the number of people that make a difference, it’s how much money there is

a realtor told me many Chinese buyers buy homes for investments and rentals. Do you think the Dems helped or hurt with this?

>> No.55636108

How are 20-40 year olds going to afford houses? What's the plan here?

Also, it's hard to start a family without owning a home or being financially stable. A healthy country and economy would be rallying around 20-40 year olds, promoting policies that help young people buy homes and start families, etc.

Instead we're sending literally a trillion dollars to Ukraine. You can't tell me the USA won't be a third world country in 100 years.

>It’s not the number of people that make a difference
In Canada, it's 100% the amount of people. We take in 1m migrants/yr and complete 200k new homes, doesnt take a genius to work the math on this out. An overwhelming majority of our MPs are rental property landlords, and our heads of finance are overtly open about how they'll protect real estate as an investment vehicle rather than a thing that people live inside of.
>inb4 racist chud xenophobe nazi
Check out r/Canada, the largest gathering of leftist soi numales on the planet, and you'll see that immigration fatigue is literally everywhere on the political spectrum (they're all just too buckbroken by identity/climate change politics to ever rebel against the left). Properties aren't more valuable. They're actually wet cardboard cigarette stained stinking dogshit in canada, but they're up 50x from the prices boomers paid. They'd rather stuff the country with 400 trillion third worlders than look at their RE portfolio and see a -0.25% dropoff

Imagine bitcoin halving cycles. That's how Canada treats RE. It's a destruction of supply rather than a raising of demand
