Brainlet here. Can you guys explain the riks/benefits of leveraging? Why is everyone on biz getting liquidated all the time. I only buy, hold, and occasionally swap, so I'm not too familiar with how this works.

Leverage means you make way more money if number go up. Means you lose all money instantly when number go down tiny bit.

Because leverage is risky. People go 100x leverage on a shitcoin, and the price drops just 1%: boom, instantly liquidated. All gone.

Only newfag retards playing with $100 margin on 10x+ lev get "liquidated all the time" basically gambling on a coinflip with no invalidation. Realistically no one is gonna hold a losing position into liquidation, you exit at a loss at some point. Unless it happens when you're asleep with no stop loss or smth.
If you have no clue about any of this just move on, keep buying spot when it's cheap and start selling some when it's higher.
