Can someone explain how so many people can afford these new vehicle prices? I don’t understand how someone could willingly pay 1500$ a month for a decent diesel truck right now. I see new vehicles everywhere and based off the eye test it doesn’t line up with average income of an American.

I could afford a new vehicle but the thought of paying over 500$ a month for a truck for 6 years doesn’t seem like a great financial decision.

What is everyone else’s opinion on this topic?

Credit is like cocaine. The usurious dealers give you cheap credit for a few years or even decades to make you addicted to what you can't afford. Then they'll hit you with the 30%+ ARP. But credit cucks can't stop now because then they'd have to admit they were wrong and didn't deserve these things.

Probably the treasury to business pipeline. Which industries use which vehicles standard and how much govbucks do they get, directly or indirectly.

When a normalfag sees they have extra money at the end of the month, they don't think "Oh I should save or invest this money, and try to grow my wealth." Instead they think "Oh cool I can afford a new car or a lavish vacation!"

this but only if you have no long term planning skills (~60% of the US population)

banks just extend the term of the loan to lower the monthly payment. 3-5 year car loans used to be standard, now its 5-10 year terms.

extremely low IQ. i winced at having a $220/month for 52 months car payment and i make $100k/year. i see normalniggers making less than me, in a more expensive apartment, with out of control personal spending habits, who are paying $400-600/month. it's pure insanity.

Buy a 12v or 24v Cummins from a non rust state if you want something that can tow. Should be about $20k for a good condition one, yeah it'll be 20 years old but it'll run another 20, I wouldn't guarantee a modern vehicle to run for 20 more years.

Well, to be honest with you, the only people that should be buying that truck, are people transporting their crew to a jobsite off in the woods on rough roads in bumfuck Egypt that makes a shitton of money. A regular construction worker can do just fine with a regular cab.

500 a month for 6 years is only 36,000. try 1000 a month for 8 years

>> No.55578089

The US is transforming into a 3rd world country. Here that is pretty much the norm, normies paying more than 50% of their income for a vehicle for 8 years.

That’s a 2500 with a diesel.

Maybe 10-15k less for a 1500 with a gas

Most job sites buy the work trim versions of this true. Vinyl flooring and white paint with either gas or diesel engine. All trim levels above I’d argue are normal people or business owners buying. Why would you want dirty ass workers using a high country to get to the job site?

truck guys are always the worst. ask a million technical questions, ask to see underneath the truck (brand new, less than 10 miles), usually retarded, always test drive and never buy LoL
If they make their payments, they're usually getting a shitty finance rate. Like greater than 5%. Credit score was usually less than 650 and they're like late 30's early 40's.

Hey anon, look up an AI project called blackswan, The trading bot uses AI to execute instant trades based on news releases. It helps you to enter positions before the market reacts, whether it's bullish or bearish news. You can specify the events you want to trade on. Their twitter/website has more info on it

Keeping up with the Joneses is a helluva drug, but I think when it comes to trucks a lot of people are also stuck with having to buy new since Japanese trucks aren't strong enough for the really heavy cargo you might need to haul and used American trucks will just fall apart (as will new ones, but with new ones you have more time)

They can't, that's why they have to go into $60k of debt and take out a note.

A loan for a new car is by far the dumbest debt you can get too, as other than the last couple years where COVID turned things upside down, vehicles typically depreciate very fast. It's value goes down 10% as soon as the dealer hands you the keys and you drive it off the lot, 20% after the first year, and 60% after five years. So not only are you paying a bunch of interest if you didn't buy in cash, but you're also losing thousands or tens of thousands of dollars a year to depreciation. If you have a large net worth that's fine, who cares. But for people without a lot of money, it's a big hit to take to your NW.

I don't get it either. This trucks, SUVs, and vans are a fucking an arm and a leg. I'm looking at a Corolla and my stomach hurts at having to pay even just $25k. I really don't understand how people are doing it except for becoming debt slaves for a brand new truck which is not needed.

I'm in the same boat as you although I don't need a car right this instance since I'm renting one for $500 a month, which isn't bad. I know your pain though. Honestly 29k CAD is a really solid deal. Just keep the car and drive it for live, if you do this, your purchase is an amazing deal.
