Oh yeah. and regarding the rest of your post. if your job is your whole life and it's going poorly then yeah your gonna feel bad. So it may be time to consider another company, OR internal transfer if it's just a shit team. The meme zoomer advice is sEe A sHrInK but first. Try to find something you like to do and do that. If that doesn't work then yeah maybe see a shrink but you gotta try the obvious stuff first it's like turning the computer on and off before you call tech support.

By the way, switching jobs could maybe help with friends too since if you're the new guy presumably you could meet some folks. I'm personally not a big fan of making friendships too dependent on work but at a big enough company you'd meet folks outside your department i.e. people who wouldn't be pissed off if for whatever reason your job performance (real or perceived) took a turn for the worse.

Why does alphabet (google) feel like the biggest letdown of the big tech companies? They are pure software company with the greatest momentum but just lost gas at some point. They pulled in the best talent and just fucked up. Meanwhile we have meta pumping up that just spams dumb social media platforms competing with elon musks resurrecting twitter which was just a dumb luck money printer for dorsey. Shit we had chromebooks and the netbook era that was cool/practical to some degree and google is just boring town now. Then you have Apple that just spams their patents for fashion products when the ipod was their last well thought out project but apple just keeps printing money and going up anyways. Google is just ass from both a tech nerd perspective or an investor perspective. Hell even boring microsoft can just say AI or broker a deal with some software company to buy them out and make investors happy, not to forget to mention wall street obsessing about them ever since covid ended.

Unironically? Drink keffir and/or other fermented foods. Diet's not a magic cure or a definite cause but my lows and highs have been higher since i started including food that promotes healthier gut and trying to eliminate shit that is proven to have a negative impact on mental health. It's something tangible i can do that is solely for my benefit that nobody can take away from me and has no relation to circumstance. Been more help than zombie meds anyway.
I've found it easier to avoid focusing overmuch on life's difficulties which has been my main issue. Can't improove if i'm only looking at the negatives beyond my control. Perspective has been key for me. Not to say that i'm always looking for the silver lining and with rose tinted glasses. Sometimes there's none and the best i can do is not think about those negatives unless it's when trying gain clarity on how to eliminate them or until i actually need to engage with the things i cannot avoid and get them over with.

What great traders mean when the say don't try to predict the market is stop trying to anticipate imminent changes in direction or conditions of the market. If the market is going down don't try to predict the bottom or buy the dip "cuz it looks cheap" just to get your wig split. If it's going up, buy in and hold until AFTER conditions change. Don't try to be a hero looking at the chart from across the room picking tops. >Neither is necessarily wrong. The former is harder for noobs if they don't know what they're looking for, but the returns are far greater. .
The momentum factor is far more robust than value. Even Fama has commented on how persistent the momentum "anomoly" has been throughout all historical market cycles. Momentum traders on the whole have vastly outperformed value traders. Value can work long term for extremely talented and disciplined traders like Buffett but even the Great One himself has suffered multiple >50% drawdowns and underperformed the market for decades. The vast majority of traders will puke at the worst time during a value drawdown and lose all the gains they've accumulated for years. Momentum and trend traders don't have that problem. If your max drawdown exceeds twice your average yearly returns your strategy sucks and that includes basically all value traders.
>Buy high, get dumped on
Expectancy of buying on upward momentum is exponentially higher than the expectancy of buying a falling knife just to get cut to ribbons. The problem with buying the dip aka "value" is no matter how low it goes the trade just gets better and better. Works until it doesn't

hey guys i made an account last month to start investing. i deposited $100 and it took over a week for the money to transfer so i forgot about it for a bit. then i got excited after following our threads and wanted to start investing but realized they wouldnt let me buy calls or puts. i followed their "application" to ask for permission to spend my own money and waited another week or so before they rejected me. then they asked for more information about my income and taxes so i gave it. i applied again and another week went by and i got rejected again. i just got a monthly statement from them and immediately noticed my balance is not $100 anymore. i have earned .01 cents in interest which was nice but they have deducted $2 for "fees" which are not explained. it just says "fees" on the statement but doesnt say what they are for. anyway i think im done with this investing thing and i kind of get the antisemitism thing now. i feel taken advantage of and i always thought the antisemites here were mean people but i think they are on to something. this whole experience seemed really unfair like i was just used for my money and not even given the service i signed up for. i think i am joining the antisemite team now guys hope you arent offended. anyway thanks for reading my blog, i think im just going to go back to saving cash in my account and wait until i have enough for a house.

Google laid the groundwork for AI and let it fall through their fingers. They're horribly mismanaged and have the philosophy that if they just throw money at a bunch of smart people, one of them will randomly make billions of dollars for them. The reality is that once you get a Google job, you've 'made it' and are now inclined to sit on your laurels and milk your engineer salary for as long as possible.

Is that really the narrative now? I'm pretty sure it's because the HOOD ui was shit and didn't properly display the profit loss of the iron condor or whatever spread at expiration. He was seeing the -200,000 from one side of the spread and not the +199,700 of the other side balancing it out. I recall it actually being about a 300 dollar loss or something.

You drastically underestimate how expensive staff are. Take their wage and double it for taxes and pension, then add 15% for the desk they will be using.

The worst part is once you have staff its incredibly difficult to cut them and not just because of employment law but because while cutting a project might save you a lot of cash, a person behind the project normally carries multiple functions that also need to be patched up. Dropping a few grand on superficial renovation is nothing.

DCA into BOIL. Sell *portions* on rips, reinvest on dips. When the long curve is bullish, sell less on the rips, invest more in the dips. When the long curve turns bearish (between Winter peak and early Summer trough) sell more on the rips, invest less on the dips. Try to always keep an investment seed intact but in flux. This reduces the effects of volatility decay, and keeps you prepared to reap when a MEGARIP finally hits again and you MI. This is a simplified explantion of a somewhat more complex mechanism which requires a certain degree of autism to more clearly see, understand, and utilize. There should also be a certain corresponding blend of KOLD in the mix during the Winter peak to Summer trough stretch.

There was a good time to buy on Friday if you were watching, but weather predictions are indicative of a POTENTIAL gap up for MOONday. You should watch it for yourself. If you see a chance to buy it sub maybe $59 then you should maybe buy a little but I NEVER recommend YOLO unless you personally know what you're doing without needing guidance. Overwhelming odds are you'll easily see an opportunity in the days ahead to sell at maybe $65 so do with that what you will, but also be aware of COONTRACT ROOLIOLIO coming up starting 5th business day of Aug which will likely be a bearish 5 business days (watch for buying opportunities there). The COONTRACT will then go from the SEPTOOMBER to the NOOVOOMBER ones, and that's when shit should start getting BREDDY GUUD.

How is it not? A competitor was removed from the playing field. The belief in the economic legitimacy of communism was destroyed completely.

The USSR collapsed economically. This was an indisputable economic win for the U.S. Economic victory was achieved.

Doesn't matter who the instigator or aggressor was, the U.S outlasted the USSR.

Good stocks outperform and shit stocks do worse. Don't fight the market forces. Trade the market in front of you. Right now we're in a bull market, also check out the NNFX trading system

Well my gut instinct is to tell you I'd be very conservative and put the money in bonds, but I don't want to lie to you. I'd probably either gamble it on playing poker, or the slots.

are you buying on oversold RSI or when RSI is rising. If you're getting whipsawed on lower TFs or cant make sense, just keep zooming out TFs until the movements make sense.

Oh shit nigger what are you doing

>Risk 1-2% losses per trade, maximum
>Size based on the ticker's ATR
>Trade the daily chart

Anyone who is greedy and tries to get big trades will lose. Trading is a matter of being consistent and small wins. Mathematically a loss hurts you more than a win helps you. Imagine taking on excessive risk for a 10% gain. Your account can grow to infinity or shrink to 0, and having like $10,000 is way way closer to 0 than it is to infinity. Math is stacked against you, you cannot afford to make stupid trades and big losses.

If you're still serious about trading, set aside like 20 hours and watch this series

I have done every one on the list. It took YEARS for me to finally get it through the bag of rocks that is my brain that the correct way to actively trade is to have a TA routine that produces clear buy/sell signals, take ALL of them, and do risk management/profit take according to a set system as well. Back test all of that so you know it works over the long term and you'll be a successful trader. It's when you start improvising outside your own system that things can get real bad.

Yeah, most traders (especially retail) can't pace themselves and burn out. A successful trader usually has to eat shit for 3-5 years before they're consistently profitable. Even breaking even is considered an accomplishment. Imagine that. And then you have to still beat inflation, the risk free rate, and index returns. If you can't do shit, you might as well just go 50:50 on a bond and SPX or something. It's a tough game and I've probably lost $6-8k since I started

NW was like $65k last month, 3 years ago I had about $20k, most of that was just wages. When I started, I had about $20k in investments themselves, and now about $32k. Again, wages and deposits. In terms of real results, it averages out to about a 14% loss every year for 3 years. Most of that was in the last year or two, though. WMT is unironically my best performer

are you still in coontact with either of the lady frens you made on your outings? shit, you could still just let your cash sit in HOOD drawing 4.65% unless the bank is doing you better than that. i manage an account much smaller than yours and it's gaining enough to buy a 3 topping pizza daily in interest.
