>In economics and finance, a Glownigger Market is said to occur when a country's financial policymakers begin manipulating econometric data for their political benefit. [1] This may be accompanied by organized propaganda campaigns, hidden monetary easing, as well as other forms of financial repression, in order to reinforce the illusion that a nation's troubled economy is sound and resilient. [2, 3] In a Glownigger Market, stocks may seem to rally, even irrationally so, in the face of worsening economic conditions. However, while the goal of a Glownigger Market is to either delay or prevent a politically undesireable financial correction from occurring, the policy actions that led to the Glownigger Market invariably increase the severity of the subsequent financial crisis. By attempting to overpower healthy corrective market forces, a Glownigger Market causes extreme capital misallocation that can turn a minor economic downturn into a severe and protracted economic depression. A little unusual that 2yr yield is up 8 basis points today
>yeah, well, it's fine that it is, because Michigan survey inflation expectations ticked up 0.1% since last month!
I dunno about that. I don't know about a 0.1% tick up warranting 8 basis points in a day.
>yeah, well, bonds had gotten overbought in the last week, it's normal for them to fall back a little and yields to rise!
Yeah, maybe. It still seems unusual for yields to rise as much as they are today. After the trend got broken with the huge bond buying, you would not expect to see a reversal as large as this - you'd see a bounce.. but not this big..

There's always someone doing that on any investing platform. Either he's addicted to the hype around his fake reputation, or he's hoping to someday sell some self help bullshit.

Occasionally real gamblers show up that seem legitimate and go on real insane runs, but tend to blow up or vanish around the 500k to 1mil level. That's already life changing money.
The positions are the big giveaway. Someone on a real streak would just be holding a singular bet: NVDA or SOXL or QQQ calls rolled upward to infinity, until it blows up on them.
Seeing portfolios beyond 1m taking insane risks is always suspicious. There simply aren't enough people out there with that much wealth and liquidity starts to become an issue at that point. If you look at it as pure gambling, every doubling of the portfolio on some OTM calls is another 50% chance the whole port gets blown up. Going from 4 figs to 7 is already a one in a thousand event, and of those rare winners most would cash out their winnings before then.

I can attest to this, I have done some very stupid things and taken some hard L's being a cocky ass wipe thinking I can always buy the right answer. I feel like I'm just now after 2 years trading finally starting to get my risk management under control. I'm also now keeping track of all my trades, the % and $ realized winners and losers and how often I lose which is helping me take a second to pause after each trade and think about everything.

On the upside, i know mega caps arent going to give me 20% in a small time window of my trade, i set a reasonable gain based on the duration of my trade. Additionally, I follow the rule of cool (for surprises), if it was worth taking a screenshot, sell. So this morning I had a feeling that SPY was going to go down and touch the 50 period SMA on the 5 minute chart. So I enter into my long put position, small at first, with the intention of buying in equal increments up to 5 times if need be. So I end up buying in 3 times before the position begins to print, then as soon as it does I take the 5% gain. Meanwhile SPY was probably only halfway down from where I thought it was going to go. Had I stuck to my guns and held I would have made probably 10x the money.

Or even just now I took 4% profit on some calls thinking that SPY goes back above $450 before close today. Had I waited another 2-3 minutes I coulda woulda shoulda doubled or tripled that profit. But I just know how fast these options move against you and I would hate to miss out on my chance for green. I go by the philosophy of anything green. Green is good, green is gains, green is god. On that note I think I should go mow my GREEN lawn before I do something stupid to lose all my gains on the day.

Thanks for reading my blog posts fellas

I need some time off, my job is stressful as hell but I have like 5 years worth of runway saved up so I'm going to take like 4 months off, go to Japan, paint some minis, etc.

One time right before my lease expired at my apartment I got a fortune cookie and it had a typo. It said, "Failure is the path of lease persistence." I thought it was funny but I renewed my lease. They had some issues with Covid like all retailers, but that's over now and people are getting back to stores. They also made some bad bets with overseas ventures in USA and Japan, but they're pairing these back and focusing on core UK market now. The sell off looks way overdone (was trading at £5.00 mark), and is only 1.5x book value. UK stocks are generally unloved / undervalued compared to USA. I bought more at 56 today, you have to watch it directly, constantly, and know its ranges and behaviors. I recommend carefully and patiently building layered positions that are coiled springs awaiting kick ass rips. Start with a small to modest ceiling at a decent enough price, then fill in below it as opportunities arise. Your ceiling will always be there to catch any surprise rips, but you'll make it more and more effective by filling in under it as the opportunities present themselves. The best way to get fucked is not really knowing where it's at and what it's doing for yourself and going all in at some random point. You can still get fucked tho, no matter what. BOIL is a wild bucking bronco, and a motherfucker.

Rent is indeed expensive. If you can, move in with them for a while. Work while living there and you can save insane amounts of money in mere 6 months. Afterwards you leave and that's that.
Or you know... assuming you are white and your parents are boomers, they should have a buttload of cash. You could ask them for a little bit of an investment or a zero interest loan. Feels a bit parasitic but I wouldn't mind helping out my own son if the economy was as shit as it is right now

A good thing about the UCCC is that it thrives without government and governs absolutely without government.
The United Community County Confederacy is a natural network of communities that connect and thrive together.
People don’t have to be aware the UCCC even exists yet thrive the UCCC and thrive because of the UCCC

The UCCC in some ways is merely assessing the reality of the infinite verities of anarcho-collectivism.
There is infinite sorts of love that motivate a collective collectively.
The only motive is love. Love is why infinite sorts of anarchy thrives infinite sorts of communities.

Paganism: Each love is a soul.

IT eh? I am in fact also getting into programming so that I one day perhaps WFH... but OOP is giving me a bit of a headache. And that's in Python, possibly the easiest language. So I was thinking Pandas + Python and maybe SQL and some kind of big data analysis or whatever. From what I've heard, it's pretty easy to get a job and there is little competition unlike with C++ and AI and so on

Well, you dont need OOP to do everything in IT. There's a huge industry that doesnt require that degree of coding. I have a compsci degree and can competently program for personal fun projects, utility scripts, etc but I am not a software engineer and dont do much coding for my actual work. The IT world includes:
>Network administrators
>Database administrators
>Cloud infrastructure administrators
>Frontend website developers
>Backend developers
>Scrum masters
>Project managers
>Technical support (fixing servers)
>Technical support (fixing desktops)
>Technical support (telling people to turn it off and on again)
>Quality assurance (bugfixing)
>"Solutions architects" (aka salesmen who know how to press the "install" button)
>Solutions architects (who actually architect solutions)
>Technical Account Managers
>Trainers
>Site Reliability Engineers
They all do different things and while coding is useful in a lot of them, many of those roles require 0 coding or only like bash scripting, powershell scripting, etc.

Still, being able to code helps out, makes you better in interviews, and makes it easier to diagnose problems. I dont code for employment but I can identify mistakes/problems in code which makes it easy for me to jump from support to QA to consulting and even to dev if I want.

If you're interested in the industry it's most important to be able to learn fast, rather than to already know stuff. Identifying problems or learning new tech quickly is the key skill.

hey guys i made an account last month to start investing. i deposited $100 and it took over a week for the money to transfer so i forgot about it for a bit. then i got excited after following our threads and wanted to start investing but realized they wouldnt let me buy calls or puts. i followed their "application" to ask for permission to spend my own money and waited another week or so before they rejected me. then they asked for more information about my income and taxes so i gave it. i applied again and another week went by and i got rejected again. i just got a monthly statement from them and immediately noticed my balance is not $100 anymore. i have earned .01 cents in interest which was nice but they have deducted $2 for "fees" which are not explained. it just says "fees" on the statement but doesnt say what they are for. anyway i think im done with this investing thing and i kind of get the antisemitism thing now. i feel taken advantage of and i always thought the antisemites here were mean people but i think they are on to something. this whole experience seemed really unfair like i was just used for my money and not even given the service i signed up for. i think i am joining the antisemite team now guys hope you arent offended. anyway thanks for reading my blog, i think im just going to go back to saving cash in my account and wait until i have enough for a house.

Newerish tech companies* are good for the high implied volatility. TLDR selling puts on QQQ is super boring with low premiums because let's face it, the underlying asset is never going to go bust, and being as diversified as it is, it has very low volatility. In other words, you have to put a mountain of cash into something like QQQ in order just to get a couple dollars out. Not very fun to me.

*Do your fucking due dilligence though. When I mean new tech companies, I'm talking about shit like HOOD, not that indoor fish farming meme stock that was shilled on here last year. If we use HOOD as an example, yeah the price is volatile, but the fundamentals behind it are solid. It's not going bankrupt. That's really the only risk you cannot dig yourself out of and you need to be most aware of with selling puts. If you go ham on some super volatile penny stock with your entire stack, you can no shit get wiped out.

Just use common sense. I print about $5000 a month from selling puts and covered calls. This strategy is called The Wheel by the way.

After a bit of thinking (uh aka after my afternoon nap) and seeing the current VZ share price gift I realized that with some delayed action on my part I could reach my VZ share count quota now and not have to wait till 2024. How I did it; Via selling DIS,WBD,CMCSA,and KDP and some green I had in my Emergency fund. Those sold stocks, every single sold share, will be re bought in 2024. Perhaps even cheaper. Important thing was to bag VZ quick as hell and let the drip and the fat divvy do its thing over the next 27 odd years. (or till I'm dead).

I'm starting to look into tax shelters as well, but unfortunately there aren't many good options for the unwashed masses like ourselves. Right now I just eat the taxes like a cuck.

A couple years ago I worked as overseas contractor in a foreign country. I only worked half the year and was making $280,000. One of the best parts was the foreign earned income exclusion, because it meant I didn't have to pay taxes on the first $100k of income. I'd get a fat fucking check from the IRS in April of around $20-30k. God those were the days.

My grandfather started a cult about 70 years ago that he officially got registered with a legal 501(c) religious tax exemption. He died a couple years ago, and it's still around. Maybe I should press my claim as its rightful leader for tax purposes.

You are better off paying taxes as an individual with no structure because any kind of structure implies you are self-employed and the IRS will start fucking you with payroll taxes
