The whole system is dystopian as fuck. There's zero human interaction. You drive to some facility, take a drug test, and then you're hired. You get trained on your first day by some nigger in a bandana and then you're just off to work for the rest of your time at the job. You never learn anyones name and you just walk to an aisle and pack boxes for 11 hours straight then go home. Some autists might like that aspect of it I guess

USPS starting is 19.33 with a .50 cent raise after 90 days. They are in a hiring crisis right now and most people are making regular in 6 months which is 24.30 base and a max of around 38 after 13 years. That number is probably going to go down to 7-8 because of the current contract negotiations. Also you get a cost of living raise almost every year which is added to your top out pay. Up to a 5% match in a stock portfolio and a pension. It’s absolutely brutal work right now 6-7 days in a row at 10-12 hours but this is exactly the best time to start. It won’t last forever and once the hiring crises is over you will be mid tier seniority with only 1-2 years.
