>In economics and finance, a Glownigger Market is said to occur when a country's financial policymakers begin manipulating econometric data for their political benefit. [1] This may be accompanied by organized propaganda campaigns, hidden monetary easing, as well as other forms of financial repression, in order to reinforce the illusion that a nation's troubled economy is sound and resilient. [2, 3] In a Glownigger Market, stocks may seem to rally, even irrationally so, in the face of worsening economic conditions. However, while the goal of a Glownigger Market is to either delay or prevent a politically undesireable financial correction from occurring, the policy actions that led to the Glownigger Market invariably increase the severity of the subsequent financial crisis. By attempting to overpower healthy corrective market forces, a Glownigger Market causes extreme capital misallocation that can turn a minor economic downturn into a severe and protracted economic depression. Paying taxes just to convert over and scale up leverage on a 100x return after a decade long bullrun is the ultimate cope.
If you're considering swing trading, buying an illiquid ETF and paying transaction fees, management fee, hidden swap interest is cope when you can just buy NVDA yourself directly in IBKR and pay a minimal margin rate premium vs SOFR.

Not sure what it is that attracts retards like you to these inferior casino products.

Bitcoin has a halvening cycle that *reduces* its supply inflation in a stepwise manner. Pricing that in is what's influencing it right now.

That plus the sentiment cycle, SEC legal challenges being smacked down, and ETFs from Blackrock et. al. are overriding the inflation/recession/Nasdaq angles.

Lower coin payouts are balanced by higher Bitcoin prices. Miners also earn money off transaction fees.

You're right however that this is a fundamentally ponzi dynamic. Only something like Monero is an actual currency with currency dynamics and "real" demand, because drug dealers use it.

However if you object to that I'll point you at gold, or NKLA, or NVDA stock.

>Lower coin payouts are balanced by higher Bitcoin prices
Sure, but what makes the price go up?
Dollar printing is the common argument, but that will also increase the energy cost (in dollars). So it actually has to continue to see leveraged gains relative to the US dollar decay in order to match the mining cost for the most marginal miners. However, such leveraged gains would at some point lead to bitcoin overtaking the entire economy. Everything priced in bitcoin, everyone holds the entirety of their wealth in bitcoin. At that point, there is no longer any potential outperformance and the same fundamental problems persist. This is the logical conclusion of any asset. Nothing can outperform forever. There is no TAM beyond the scope of the entire global economy.

>Miners also earn money off transaction fees.
This requires constant demand for transactions. If the transaction fee becomes such a large percentage of the total value being exchanged, then why would anyone want to purchase anything in bitcoin?
And if there are no purchases, then once again => no funding for the miners. Back to the original issue. It's a contradiction.

When you really put some thought into the future of the halvenings, it seems inevitable that bitcoin one day will die as the network implodes due to inactivity and insecurity.
The stock market is also very ponzi-like, yes. The whole economy is a ponzi.

Nope, that's true. My best guess on that would be going off the log chart of bitcoin price in USD since inception that bitcoin shills love to post. Pretty clear that there's a tangential curve looking to someday peak around $100k/coin. Makes logical sense as that's somewhere in the same ballpark of gold.
Obviously DXY declines and general inflation increase that cap.

>‘Like a dark cloud disappearing’: Treasury yield curve goes less negative after June CPI
>The 2-year rate TMUBMUSD02Y was trading around 85 basis points above the 10-year yield TMUBMUSD10Y during the New York session — producing the least negative spread between the two yields in about a month. The 2s10s spread had been at more than minus 100 basis points as recently as last week, and was minus 92.96 basis points early Wednesday before the June consumer price index came out.
>A less negative 2s/10s spread reflects “a less sky-is-falling type of messaging,” said Bryce Doty, senior vice president and senior portfolio manager at Sit Investment Associates in Minneapolis. “It bolsters confidence when the curve isn’t so inverted because people view it as such an albatross, a sign of disaster. As that signaling dissipates, all of a sudden it’s like a dark cloud disappearing.”

No. Not going to happen. UK has to continue to be aggressive, ECB has to continue to be aggressive, surprise rate increase from BoC, everyone else raising with aggressive rhetoric while Fed pussyfoots = their currencies will appreciate against the dollar.
The only way that dollar doesn't continue to fall is if 10yr crosses 4% again, and 2yr crosses 5% again; there aren't any catalysts for this to happen until next month minimum - either through Fed action / guidance, or through a reignition of inflation. If inflation goes back up, then the dollar will rise. Barring that, the dollar will continue to go down. And as it goes down, it will create a reinforcing cycle, where as the dollar falls, it makes commodities rise, which will make inflation worse across the world, where ECB, UK, BOC etc all will have to continue to be aggressive relative to US policy = their currencies appreciate, dollar fall
