Don't think I've ever seen a post about playing poker as a side gig on here. Started playing 1/3, 3-4 months ago with $300 and am currently playing at 2/5, with 1k buyin, averaging 1-2k a week, have a made a bit over 10k so far playing 3 days a week for 5 hours each session. All you got to do is play premium hands. Yeah you will get a bad beat sometimes but in the end the math and odds are in your favor.

I changed up my strategy lately and been killing it. Literally 90% win rate which is unheard of. But… the strategy involves killing variance. So out of all these wins I’ve only had like 2 wins over 500$ almost all my wins are in the $150-$500 range.

Lmfao, this is the conclusion I came to. I'm a literal SWE, and was getting obsessed with poker and how to make it profitable, dedicating hours to like $30/hr., before realizing "wait if I applied myself like this to my career field I could be a megachad FAANG engineer making $200k+ TC" lmao.
