The US treasuries have always forecast a recession/crash when they invert and then go back to normal. Right now, we're still hard and deeply inverted. Things are not back to normal yet, and the highest yields are 4-6 months out. I'm mostly sitting on defensive stocks and fixed income and cash, waiting. It could take 6 months and then another 2 months to bottom out. It could take an entire year or two. But I want to remain liquid and defensive, even if it means sacrificing gains. I just feel like when the market does finally break, it will be extremely painful to everyone.

Two questions:
1) I have 5k euros sitting in my bank account doing nothing, where should I invest them long-term? Some ETFs should be an appropriate option, I think. Also, is it even a good time to invest them, actually? Or should I wait?
2) Thoughts on the Austrian school of economics?
