In a time of crisis, let's just pretend for a moment, that the internet shut down, and there was zero access to online resources. Let's not say it is impossible, just think about it for a moment. How would we know the price of BTC? No charts, nothing. What would we do?

There was a post from an anon that described how easy it was to take down our infrastructure.
He give out details and even how tos, it was surprisingly easy.
In times of nuclear war most archive storage devices wont last, maybe expect those 50TB tape drives professional archive companies use

already solved
ham radio network can be used to send, receive and to verify transactions. just need a few copies of the blockchain to get started again. which wouldn’t be hard.
now if for some reason we lose all electricity permanently and never comes back. then we would be fucked

if the internet really went down everywhere globally this would mean only 1 thing.
there is a cataclysmic event unfolding and at that point you will be in much bigger trouble than thinking about your Bitcoins.
no electricity, no water pumps, no AC, no industry, all imports and exports stop, no international travel, no stock market, no stores getting restocked, all supply lines crumble etc.

a couple days into this mess and you are fighting for your survival like everyone else. full anarchy, mad max type of shit with communities reorganizing themselves, rationing food and water and gasoline and only handing it out to people they see as useful.
lynchings, mobs raiding everything they can, murders, riots, cannibalism make a big comeback.
the world as we know it would be finished and a couple months into this nobody would even know what bitcoin is anymore.

This. And inb4 JlDF arrives; after the great reset (picrel), gold and silver won't be worth anything either. Steel and iron and aluminum will all be worth more.

Skills and knowledge would be far more profitable than any amount of steel and iron to an individual. You couldn't stack enough safely in the event of collapse. Not to say you shouldn't stack, only that there is no lifeboats in these types of scenarios, you need to learn to swim to survive. I.E learn and practice skills while you stack. At the very least your knowledge and skills can be applicable if the timeline is longer than estimated.

Nice in concept, but we can barely get people to take self custody even after the shitshow at ftx and countless other CEX's. How would we ever be able to establish an RF network, onboard enough people to make it worthwhile? Not to mention do it without the internet to spread the word, inform and help people to get setup?

Forget about cryptos, everything is going south just after the fact. Our lives are fully dependant on the internet.

Realistically it would fragment, unless we're talking about a solar flare that also knocks out all electrical power on the planet. But if it "went down" around the world but we still had electricity, I think that it would kill the price of all crypto. the code would still exist on storage devices, but without networking it's useless.
