I'm not sure who you are trying to convince with this thread, yourself? Look back at inflation/food/fuel riots the last three years across the 3rd world and industrializing states. Most of this came as a result of using USD as an medium of exchange for purchases, the same as they had done in the past. We dumped loads of cash and had a production lull, one that continues today even as we try to hide it. Using USD is becoming less attractive as these places try to prevent breakaway states and coups, the sort of lack of stability the USD was supposed to prevent. Don't buy gold, don't buy bitcoin few care what you do. Only BTC maxis continue to try to pressure others into buying their bags but they very well could be right. But everyone is looking at the US economy and it's goverment's spending habits with a microscope and are generally concerned. If you feel they are wrong, all the more power to you and good luck; consider not hedging your bets. I'm eating <20% premium on gold and <50% on silver all day because I do not believe the pain has even begun. BRICS news is a nice catalyst but I fully expect the media to start releasing stories about how gold purchases are supporting the "enemy", ignoring how the Fed has been wrong, at least as far as public sentiment, every step of the collapse. Reminder that this inflation is transitory, the result of supply chain woes from a virus that no one talks about anymore.

Collapse? No, that's retarded and a complete strawman.

A long and powerful economic down turn? Yeah absolutely. Retards like you were the people who lost everything at the peak of BTC and at thepeak of 2008.

That is way too many words to discuss an asset with an 8x increase in supply in 2 years. Dollars cost nothing to produce. Don't buy them.

Whether the dollar collapses or not is irrelevant, holding dollars or it's derivatives is foolish. The Fed is going to have to print more dollars soon than we've ever seen before. Assets, preferably hard assets are what you should be holding. But go ahead, buy bonds and enjoy your devalued dollars plus 4%.
