Pay attention to bid ask spreads; you’ll think you have so much money but you won’t be able to sell unless you go with the lowball offer. Also time decay can be a bitch if you’re holding options overnight. The last ten minutes of trading can radically alter the value of your contract. Sometimes you’ll think you’ve won big at an earnings play but the “implied volatility” or IV can quickly wipe you out and you’ll be left with your pants down wondering what the hell happened.
