No, i wouldn't recommend it on my worst enemy. I don't know how much longer I can go on. I'm very close to quitting, taking a pay cut and going to work at Walmart.

The job itself is great (outside, get exercise but not too physically taxing, make your own hours depending on how fast you go, listen to music or podcasts, maybe not good for extroverts cause you don't see anyone all day) but the pay is obviously not good enough

software dev for a tech company. yes i strongly recommend it (on the clock rn). the one secret tip i give that i think not enough people follow is the best way to find software dev jobs is to look at top VC firms (especially VC firms within a certain industry if you already have experience) and just look at their portfolio and directly reach out to the companies in their portfolio. you can find really great opportunities this way (early stage, flexible, high comp) and have zero competition because they arent necessarily advertising openings much.
