Do any of you fuck sticks mine when your PC is idle? What's the most cost effective way of doing it now?

I'm mining monero using XMR stak to miningpoolhub but I feel like my gainz could be higher

I have i7 and 1070 so my hashrate is usually around 1100

Same system as OP, lazy baby miner, was getting $3 a day on nicehash which conveniently got hacked just as I hit payout amount of 0.01 btc (apparently now they're saying they'll announce the date they will pay out missing funds on Jan 31).

Now mining vertcoin with its one click miner, getting avg of 0.4 vtc a day. Tried using minergate for a short period which has a very nice UI but gave me crap hashrates and return.

Nicehash was getting me ok gains but made my gpu run stupid hot and people on reddit were complaining about getting shafted by their external payout being delayed

I did hop in the aeon pool long enough to get 1 coin, just in case it moons a billion percent in the future. took about three days using xmr-stak and adjusting the gpu settings a bit.
