Funny that you write this. I actually just did a bit of digging to figure out if you can put a dollar amount price on nepotism and nepotism alone. It's worth more than most people actually make in their lives, but insane talent is worth more than the payout on nepotism believe it or not. Now what I don't have any data on is what a moderate level of competence plus nepotism pays out, because it was easiest to find date on clowns from rich families.

I got my engineering job without even having to interview, but I basically had a perfect resume.
This was the ace up my sleeve, but I know others that went through this and I believe it 100%.
It also helped that career fairs were more common in-person when I was in school. Being able to fake a lack of autism really does set you apart at those.

why wouldn't you hire your son or whatever? he's a known quantity and is likely to respect you, much easier than hiring a random fucker based on an interview
