But i do hope Elon keeps on track. Perhaps he could put a time limit between posts and/or views. Say, thirty minutes. Thirty minutes is not long at all and gives time for reflection.

I'm surprised Elon thought it was a good idea to remove the ability for people without an account to view tweets. I think most people start of as lurkers on most websites, get intrigued by a thread after a while an make an account to comment on the thread.

He's basically a male version of Marissa Meyer and her multibillion dollar tumblr boondoggle back when she was head of Yahoo.

Tumblr didn't recover from that even though the changes made weren't anywhere nearly as drastic as what Elon is doing.

He is betting that people will have enough of an affinity for the website when it's the users that have always been the main draw, you lose them and it's over. If good accounts can't get the engagement that they used to get, they simply stop posting. Less good posters means less good content, less users means even less engagement, which means even less good posts and it becomes a death spiral.
