I'd like to give a shout out to you anons. A couple months ago I had no success in getting any sort of credit. I had a 6 figure income, trading account, savings etc. (and still do). But never used credit because I didn't need it for college, cars, and shit. Some anons pointed me to the right card to apply for. I checked my credit score today and it was 742. So thanks anons. I feel like the stock market hasn't realistically priced in the deflationary pressure of the high TC people are going to be having. I mean, now a days everyone has a four year CS degree making a STARTING BASE SALARY on AVERAGE of 240k. That number easily goes up to 350 to 400k before you know it with a FAIR amount of people hitting 600k. This is with average houses on 7-8& interest being what? 400k. Everything is super affordable right now since everyoen has those TCs or will get them in the future curtousy their CS degree they got plus that average MINIMUM salary of about 240k. I don't get the bears right now becasue things are really affordable considering the high TCs that people have on average.

Holy shit the german bureaucratic assholes have banned trading futures for retailers. They really d want to keep the cattle trading shitty CFDs.
https://www.bafin.de/SharedDocs/Veroeffentlichungen/EN/Pressemitteilung/2022/pm_2022_09_30_AllgV_Futures_Beschraenkung_en.html

Starting 1 January 2023, retail clients domiciled in Germany will be protected from unlimited losses when trading in futures. futures trading for hedging purposes will remain an option for retail clients under certain conditions.

Retail clients will be permitted to continue trading in futures if their trading activities are intended to hedge against real economy price risks. These clients must then give their investment firm advance confirmation that the futures are for hedging. Hedging opportunities are particularly important for agricultural companies, but also for other companies operating in the real economy.

Furthermore, futures trading will continue to be possible for retail clients if their investment firm contractually rules out any additional payment obligation and investors thus cannot lose more than the amount invested. The general administrative act also includes a transitional provision: BaFin’s measure will not apply to futures contracts intended to settle or close positions opened before the administrative act has entered into force.

BaFin prohibits the additional payment obligation where retail clients trade in futures for non-hedging purposes, since such trading may be associated with unlimited financial risks. This is also a response to the increasing number of mini and micro futures products coming onto the market, which – owing to their small contract size and corresponding low entry threshold – are specifically aimed at this customer group. By taking this product intervention measure, BaFin will ensure that the losses incurred by retail clients in futures trading will be limited to the amount invested.

lmao, get a better CFD provider. Mine (cmc markets) has no swaps on forwards (futures equivalents), they literally only make money on the spread which is small (they probably also make money on people being retarded). There are swaps on other products but it depends on things like term structure for "cash" instruments (which are based on forwards but are indefinite), but sometimes they can be positive, for instance I currently get about $0.46/day for shorting 80 shares of AMZN.

CFDs are a godsend to poorfags who can barely afford one mini /ES contract but aren't retarded enough to go all in.

Yep but only for forwards, for "cash" contracts it can sometimes be something extreme like 60% p.a..

For forex they do have swaps but they can be positive depending on whether you're going long or short. For instance longing USD/JPY gives you 4.37% p.a. but you pay 6.4% p.a. if you short it. You can check it by making a demo account.

I like the fact that they keep pushing the inflation goals further and further with each passing month.
Last year, they told us (in my country) that we will reach 2-3% this year. Now they're saying 4-5% by the end of this year and 3% by the next. I think we all have known this for quite a while, that they are just trying to squeeze every single penny out of us. Inflation is after all very bullish and needed to reduce the debt. Fuckin hacks

I don't know. People either are really hugely benefitting from this or they gotta be living on massive loans.
Our business has increased its earnings by more than 60% just last year because we demanded higher pay from our customers. We told them that the inflation is eating up our profits and blah blah blah and the customers fell for it. It helps that our customers mostly comprise boomers that have way way too much money on their hands.
But take a guess how much of those extra 60% we have given to our employees? Mere 5% And they are fuckin happy with it... wtf
People are too fuckin proud to admit they are being fugged over so of course businesses will take full advantage of it

- banking crisis time window has passed (remember Balaji's bet), any further regional bank failing will just be bought up and consolidated by a bigger bank

>corporate profits will not decline because of layoffs + gig economy + industry consolidation + AI cost optimization
AI does not consume. The consumer is broke, and will be out of savings by October, in conjunction with student loans resuming in August.
https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/23/06/32987547/jpmorgan-says-household-excess-savings-gone-by-october
Lay offs = less consumption, increase in delinquencies/defaults
People will (and already have) stop using gig economy services when they are less confident / lost their jobs. Nobody is going to be using doordash when they just lost their job. OnlyFans is not going to save the economy. Lol.
Industry consolidation - what are you on about
>AI productivity increase per engineer/researcher
It doesn't matter if a company is able to have their R&D department boost productivity, if every consumer is kill. AI doesn't buy houses. AI doesn't buy gasoline. AI doesn't buy clothes. AI doesn't go out to eat at restaurants.
>Banking crisis window has passed
Lol no. It has not. It grows more and more likely everyday that interest rates continue to rise, worldwide. We are now back at the interest rate levels that caused the initial US crisis, let alone the interest rates internationally UK and EU zone in particular, where they are forced to continue to raise; each subsequent raise = even more systemic risk
The banks are all completely fucked - they are seeing
>deposit outflows
>commercial real estate balance sheet value collapse
>inverted yield curve fucking their profits
>collapse in lending / tightening of lending standards due to SVB et al.
The only reason the Fed 'skipped' and didn't continue to raise is because how fucked the banks are - to give them more time to fix their balance sheets
>increasing personal debt will not be an issue...boomer transfer of wealth
This won't happen until after 2030, at minimum
>boomers are all going to die en masse in the next 4 months and save the economy!!

>shortage of workers? mass immigration
this will not happen overnight, and not in time for the crisis - worldwide there will be labor shortages as population growth slows, not just in the US in the years to come
>cost of living crisis & tent cities? gig economy + pod homes
Nobody spends in the gig economy if they're all broke lol - which they will be, by October. 40% of income is now going to rent / housing, it is unsustainable, where the consumer only has the ability to survive, with all of their income going to necessities / debt service. This is money that is not going into consumption, not going into corporate profits
>Commercial RE vacancies? Transform them into residential properties and pod homes
Extremely unrealistic. Not only would they not be able to do this before their leases / loans are up, but they would have to make a huge investment, with their already destroyed balance sheets, to convert buildings. It would not happen before the crisis, which is coming. All the people who have commercial real estate leases now are not going to renew. The banks are completely fucked on commercial real estate, and no "pod home" concept for commercial real estate will save them lol.

The most telegraphed recession in history and everyone will be caught with their pants down? Don't think so. The private sector will be repairing their balance sheets for some years and someone will have to eat the commercial real estate losses but those are not systemic events.

The most important shift has been in the thinking about the global trading system and as evidenced by the tripling in manufacturing investment, things are going to change. After the uncertainty of the adjustment and balance sheet repair there will be a new high growth era.
