How to deal with a bully

Dear /biz/,
I need an idea: my father died a few months ago and left me a 50 acres piece of land in Sicily. However, I found out that the neighbor is mob and he's preventing any buyers to even come close to the land because he wants it for nothing. What do?

Besides waiting for him to unsubscribe life (unlikely: 52yo and with 4 male sons in their 20s in the same line of work) in order to sell it, what could I do with such a piece of land that would
1) be mob-proof
2) generate some cash without much effort (I don't live there)

Any help would be much appreciated, as this was most of what I got from my dad and i can't stand the idea of not being able to do much with it because of a bully. Thank you for whatever suggestions you might have.

Thought about that, but banks don't take it as collateral or if they do it'd be for a paltry amount and only with personal guarantees... That's why I thought that I'd need to make it palatable to buyers from far away or generate some cash with it and hope than in a few years the situation would "solve itself".
One idea i had is to plant some trees and security cameras or drones: if the fucker tries to set it ablaze, send the video to the police and have him spend some time away, so I can sell it to others, even for less than market value. If he doesn't play bad , then harvest the trees or cut them for wood in a few years. I'd need low work stuff, as i live 3000km away..

The best thing to do with people like that is make a trap for them and watch them fall in. Learn his weaknesses and exploit them. He is likely fucking up other people as well. Find them let them tell you about him etc. Learn his routine, study him like a detective would and learn all his habits.

I live here. Sicilians are extremely territorial and among the most aware of the current immigration/racemix/globohomo politics due to our history of repeated unwanted invasions.

Are you white? Are you right-wing and anti-globohomo? Can you speak at least decent Italian? Do your interests align with ours? Can you persuade this man in believing that your presence would benefit him? Sicilians are not barbarians, they can switch from mafia mode to best buddy mode in an instant when there are common interests (and the other way around just as quickly if you backstab them).
Learn about what this man wants other than money (they all want something) and be open for cooperation, you'd be surprised at how friendly and loyal they can be when you're perceived as an ally. Unlike Jews Sicilians aren't extremely materialistic, they just want a good life without external interference.
