Elon Musk has a $258,000,000,000(lol) lawsuit against him claiming he has been insider trading Dogecoin. The plaintiff, Keith Johnson, claims that Musk has Doge wallets linked to transactions made between April 3 and April 6. The specified period is the time when Musk changed Twitter's logo to that of Dogecoin.

Elon claimed early on his interest in Doge came from his employees at Tesla and SpaceX who were invested in the meme coin and told him about it.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/25/elon-musk-on-his-crypto-portfolio-and-why-he-supports-dogecoin.html#:~:text=On%20Sunday%2C%20he%20explained%20why%20he%20supports%20dogecoin%2C,building%20rockets%20at%20SpaceX%20own%20Doge%2C”%20Musk%20said.

Musk tweeted about Doge as early as 2019.

Later in a tweet in 2021 he claimed to own Bitcoin, ETH and Doge.

From what I understand it is not against the law to show enthusiasm for something you’re invested in. But it is illegal if you are having said enthusiasm based on knowledge of a known upcoming price shift.

Can anyone more knowledgeable on the situation enlighten me on where this is headed?

Btc as well, and if the story is going to fit, musk being ruined in court and the etfs rejected should be enough to finally kill cryptos reputation for good while it is regulated. No more fiat flows. Tech junkies can play with it as long as they follow the rules and no more pumps to attract suckers to scam them, with no more predators to feast on it and be a danger to the USD

>The initial lawsuit was filed in June 2022, prior to Musk assuming the CEO role at Twitter, but has since undergone multiple amendments to reflect his subsequent actions. The third amended case file stated that the investors seek to include allegations of insider trading by Musk and argue that Dogecoin should be classified as a security.

He is not well liked, there is an all out war against crypto, the client of a bunch of boomer funds and banks have been pressured to create hype for them to exit on liquidity by retail idiots, while a blue collar dude gets the right arguments to bring down an enemy. Story fits, has some nice thriller touch. Could work.

Why do you think there is a war against crypto? Is it the obvious reason? To replace banks and give people more power over their monetary worth? Or something different?

You just don't go out as a 1 trillion pog industry and declare war on the dollar without consequences. Especially not when the industry goal is ironically getting more dollar and all that in time when the dollar is under pressure, those are interests one doesn't fuck with. But it's a good thing. Who knows, maybe putting down the scum making it hard to impossible to launch scams to steal dollars out of pockets brings the industry back to its senses

Musk really shouldn't have put that logo up for a day. He should have kept it permanently and rebranded twitter into a website called dogpost, with a dog taking a shit on a lawn icon.

Of course Elon won't do that because he is attempting to play the righteous guy with a little snarky attitude, however he should really consider not tease investors with a "joke". That's something I learned a long time ago in marketing and sales.

However causing your customers to become irritable can also drive an effect for your customers to become impatient as well, perhaps even compulsive when it comes to making a decision when it comes to purchasing.

I was more unsettled with the fact he didn't keep doge at the twitter icon.
